This is a super interesting interpretation of the image! The orchestration is absolutely gorgeous and super cinematic. I’d love to hear how you thought about approaching this image in relation to the actual composition!

      Thank you!
For me, it's a combination of these scenarios:
      1. This is a ritual to a fallen god or powerful being. These creatures bring their candles to mourn the loss. May as well be a not-powerful being, tho.
      2. Again, a powerful god-like being, demanding sacrifices, like the candles the small creatures are carrying.
      3. An authorial powerful being demanding the service of the creatures. It may not be god-like, ethereal, or otherworldly, but something like a king or queen, which is different from the point above.
There are still some scenarios I could think of, but these were the first I imagined.
One more thing I decided against is using choir. I'm expecting most people to see it like a powerful god, which makes choir a good considering atmosphere. I just felt like going against the flow and not use it.
Playing the cello really low has this rough and potent sound, which fits the "god".
And honestly, I didn't give it any further thought. I went with the flow and just go on with it.
I hope this gave you a little insight :)
