She is closing the note because in that part of the lyrics she is like sofering because the world has fallen on her. That goes very well with the lyrics actually.☺️
Albania is the strongest vocals country in Eurovision. You have to react to Rona Nishliu - Suus, Lindita Halimi - World, Eugent Bushpepa - Mall Eurovision performances, if you are interested in vocals.
4:48 she is singing that way bc she is singing in albanian and some of the words in albanian aren’t the same in english thats why her jaw is moving that way and its not fully opened but she is definitely the best, she expresses hurt and her feelings like crying on the song #teamanxhela
I've been obsessing over this song. @5:00 To me, the fact that she closes her mouth makes it sounds like she's in pain and/or crying. The song is about her facing her sinful former life, looking for redemption or something in that alley. It's echoed at @5:14; the highest note is a bit 'off', it sounds like it's shouted at us, like a plea, one last time, her climax, 'please hear me, I'm really sorry'. I wonder if it's a common thing in sad songs from Eastern Europe. Absolutely reminds me of musicals in general, and also fado, a sorrowful musical genre from Portugal.
@@Enjoylife.1502 Pellasgianillyrians instrument ! Our tribes founded many peoples around the world and your people is founded by Arians and you have Tsiranapou ! I think she's changing the vowel to give greater emotion to it. I don't know Albanian, but I think she's very angry, she's perhaps angry with herself. I got this feeling because of that vowel change from a to ı. Western languages don't really have the ı sound (I, without a dot). We do have that in Turkish. Perhaps Albanian language has that sound as well. But I get it might sound a bit disturbing to Western audiences.
Yes, you got it! She is very angry and disappointed with herself! All her selfish behaviors made her lose love and friends! She is saying: God won't forgive me!
An amazing song to suggest: Monument by Keiino, in Norways final selection, could win Eurovision, its incredibly constructed and the note that is hit just before the last chorus is wowowwowo
The letter " ë " is diferent that the leter " e " is a vowle in albania and and its sounds a lot like dispear constand crying , it's similar sound to the letter " ø " that norway has for example, , and she holds that in the song because after she gives her energy with the "aaaaAAAA... " she has no more to give but she still feels terrible so she cries. it has to do with the fact that is a self blame song you see.
I started following you from the video reactions you did for Dua Lipa, an artist of Albanian nationality and today I see that you have made a video for another Albanian artist and this thing makes me proud because I think we have so many talents that deserve to be heard by the whole world. I would like to recommend another very famous artist here in Albania, Elvana Gjata. She did an acoustic live session many years ago and I'd be happy if you could do a video reaction of "Si une". Thanks in advance.
Great song. It should compete for first place, but may be determined by geopolitical circumstances. Anxela Peristeri is similar to Lithuanian singer Inga Valinskenė (can be checked on youtube). Greetings from Lithuania. Albania is a great country. I was in Albania in 2019, really liked it, hoping to come back after the pandemic. Greetings from Lithuania!
The entry for Israel was decided and announced last night. There’s an official music video - no live performance as yet: Eden Alene with the song "Set Me Free"
you should react to final version. love everything abt ur video, can tell ir a professional, and makes me want to hear more of your opinion. keep it up, greets from Albania ❤️ edit: she closes the jaw she said feels like it when singing and it does go with the lyrics! but i think the second time she should open it up
This instrument is something like a clarinet but it can hit lower notes. Its very common in traditional balkan music(for example, I am from Greece and it is used in most of the songs)
Lovely reaction. I really like this entry and love Anxhela's voice, but I have to agree, that it's a pity that she "closes" when singing the high notes. Also I get, why some elements may be confusing, let's hope that they'll improve it!
Well Norway's and Lithuania's national selections started. Some okay songs there, but nothing stand out. Estonia's songs are kind of AWESOME and Israel's national final is tonight I believe - Eurogeeks, correct me if I'm wrong. Needless to say, I don't like the 3 songs in the Israel NF.
You should react to some classic Eurovision performances where the vocals take centre stage there are so many to choose from that I think you would love.
Ooooh I normally wait to hear them all at once but this year I cannot wait haha - the song is alright but the production is such a mess and I still don’t get what the start pet has to do with anything. I preferred it when it was softer and with piano backing

Heey Georgina, i love your videos! Would you like to react to Duncan Laurence - Beautiful | Exclusive Session (2020). This is a live performance of one of his new songs after winning eurovision and it’s absolutely beautiful. You really have to look at his new work, cause its amazing!😁
... I thought you hit the nail on the head with each commentary and agree that it is too much Of everything. No surprises there from Albania! Lovely strong voices that are messed up and suffocated with too much of other stuff... my opinion, anyway.
I think she closes her jaw in those two climax moments to prevent her voice from cracking or any other problems from occurring. In that moment her voice is super exposed and even the slightest imperfection would just show. I find it a bit annoying though.
Trus me anxhala is capable of singing very high she is an excellent singer with more than 25 years exp singing since was a child she knows her voice perfectly that was just ann arrangement for the song becouse the lyric are dramatic and that is the main idea of the song karma she is suffering from her own actions
IMHO I was bothered by it at first listen but analyzing the lyrics of the song, I think it suits really well. It's about a person suffering from bad karma due to the things they done before. It's like you want to let your anger out so bad because of the Karma, but holds it back because in the end, it's the person's fault.
@@TheGeritr I agree! Anxhela can really sing. She studied opera before that's why she knows what she's doing with her voice. I recommend to watch her Kenga Magjike performances, especially 'Gengjeshtar' and 'E Cmendur', her award-winning song 'Pa Mua', and her debut songs 'Ato Fjale', 'Ishe Mbret', 'Prap do ti lutem' and '1001 Djem'.
Well it's not messy or too much. It's a etno songs, based on Albanian motives. Different cultures have different methods in music. So u better do some research in cultures before saying it's too much. Many countries being influenced by american motives makes people judge that.
I agree! I love these kind of music that most people perceive as "messy." This kind of sounds in the Balkans should never ever disappear because it's beautiful.
For analfabets that don"t knows. Albanian Lenguange is the oldest Lenguage in Europe or mother of all Europian Lenguages. Even word Europe has a meaning only in Albanian Lenguage. This song was the most underrated in the final. Absolute masterpiece
I think Albania is the most underrated Country in the ESC history.. to 90 % every year.. such a shame. But why? 😅

that's right, they can't send a bad vocalist even 1 year
@@fik1527 the only occasions i can think of are 2004 (very shrill bit still powerful) and 2013 (the song didn't require much vocal talent)
