I completely agree. For the amount of people buying new intakes, fuel injectors/rails and wiring harnesses it seems like it would be a hell of a lot easier. Plus the self tuning feature is awesome
Awesome ride - I'm finishing up a 70c10 with the same motor and EFI. I went with the 750hp setup as I'm planning on adding a procharger this summer. Your car sounds sooo good, I can't wait!
@@vvvv-lu8zi yep, that's what I did, bought the 70050 when I was using a th350 then swapped in a 4l65e and just had to buy a $135 trans harness from LSXceleration
@@trentdawg2832 Thank you for making that clear. I wasnt sure I made the right move on my purchases. I didnt want to buy the 70051 because I was going to try and use the wiring off of the oem harness for my 80e and also save $233 doing so. I had to search hard for the fitech trans. controller. Bought that and ended up just saving $80.
I live in L A, I would pay you to install my Fitech 70051 on my c10, 5.3, its already running with the ecm, but I am ready to install a 4l60e and no tuners to be found,, please let know
Nice ride have the same in my Camaro cant stand that they put the cords on top I talked to them at hot August night s and they said they're working on it also a bigger screen
Great video love the power of your car ,i have practically the same set except is a 6 speed manual and not even half the power when i snap the throtel don't know why probably timing
Your camera angles are awesome, especially with the drone. And yeah I'm planning an LS swap on my channel, I'm thinking on going straight Hptuners, and just doing it all myself though. But great video man!!
question. at 10:18 in the video you start your engine and quite a bit of moisture comes out of the exhaust and onto the concrete (see it spotting pretty well). does this still happen? I ask because I just installed the 70004 w/trans on in my 1970 Camaro. I have an LQ4 with Trickflow heads. when I installed the FiTech I had pulled the heads to deal with a lifter that was leaking down. after I put it back together a few days ago I fired it up and immediately saw the moisture. First thought was panic that I had a problem with head gasket. I have only fired it up 2 more times, and it still is doing this. I do know a properly running engine has H2O to a small degree out of the exhaust, it just seemed excessive... at around the same amount of yours. Any info you can provide would be greatly helpful. And actually, your video helped me.. I forgot to change the option4 under transmission and it would not leave 1st gear. Thanks already for the help.. :)
I have a car very similar to yours, but wheels are 14", I love the stance of yours, I think they are 15"s. What size of wheels and tires front and back?, please and thaks for the help!!!
Question are you using your stock radiator I think you mention it on your video by the way very nice car lots of power will appreciate if you have the time to answer
Very nIce setup!.......with it being a sleeper you must have some fun with other cars. :) Just wanted to ask what are the cam specs you put in your iron LS3? I'm going to fire up a similar setup with a mild 566/568- 222/224/112 cam and any pointers/settings you can suggest for my initial firing up would be appreciated. Its a fresh engine stick car, thanks.
That cam should run awesome. Make sure you bring up oil pressure before firing it up I always disconnect my fuel injectors until I see oil pressure. And I use a diesel oil on first start up
What's the specs on your rear wheels? I'm also going to be running an 8.5" in my 72, and I just ordered some 15x8 5.5 backspace through wheel vintiques. It was a shot in the dark the way I ordered, so I'm hoping they fit well.
How has the system held up over time? I'm doing a 6.0 swap into my 69 firebird. I have all the stock harness and ecu but this seems easier and much cleaner.
Awesome video and thanks for the info. I am currently in the middle of a LS swap on my 68 Firebird and trying to decide on what engine management system to run. I decided on FItech before i started swap, but i have ran into alot of bad reviews on this system, but it seems to be on the carb install systems. Have you had any issues on this system since installation?
I haven’t had any problems. it’s a little complicated to fine tune but it works good right out of the box. I’ve installed 4 of them and only 1 out of the 4 was dead on arrival.
@@TheLq4chevelle Got a question, since this system only comes with one O2 sensor how did you install it? I have dual separate exhaust on mine from previous engine installation can I get by with just installing the sensor on one side?
im buiding a 66 nova with a simular set up and im picky on how i want it to sound, and im very impressed with your novas sound & i love the sleeper theme.
I’m doing a very similar swap. Love your nova. I have Dakota digital in my Camino. But that has a factory ecm and I just plugged the OBD to it. Did the fitech signal wires play nice with the Dakota digital?

Nice car that’s exactly what I would do hopefully someday I can get one
Sweet ride I’m an old school carb guy but I may give the Fitech a try Great video
70050 unit will control the trans , you just have to buy the harness. Part no 70050-5......I picked up my harness for $135 from LSXceleration. ....
