    I still cant believe that first piece was concrete , it was so rolled and polished from the creek but still had the pits that made it look like a URA.
    I do love that little bitty URA thats got to be the smallest any one may have ever found LOL .. Such a great video and an amazing day can not wait to do it again

    The corals are called Hexagonaria. They are Michigan Petoskey Stone.

      @dustinfindsrocks  Год назад +3

      It’s Acrocyathus the ancestors of Hexagonaria. These are Silurian and the Hexogonaria are Devonian I believe.

    Looks like Jeff found his license plate he lost in Utah. 😂
    You got into some really nice coral there. Too bad about the union road agates though. Looked like fun using the monster saw. Oh man that geode you found by your house is wayyy cool! You guys find the coolest stuff.

      The union road agates are a rare score but when the agate snobs say they can no longer be found… well that sounds like a challenge 🤣 we DID find some! So I consider it a success! I’m glad I finally got around to cutting that one I found a couple years ago! I actually found that in a video… I need to watch my old videos I’m not sure which one 😂 anyway I’m thinking it’s a type of geode/agate that’s not really known yet. After I find a few more good ones I’m gonna try to name them. Also Jeff and I definitely narrowed in on where the agates are coming from and know where we want to look after the next big rainstorm

    If you ever want another to tag along I have a couple spots to find things as well. I'm in Oakville. There's a lot of stuff near cliff cave/river

    I am a new rockhounder and I was just wondering how you know where to go to find all you beautiful rocks and fossils? I live in St. Francois county Mo. and plan on going up to the mine museum to ask as well.

      @dustinfindsrocks  Год назад +3

      There’s lots of places in that area! Haunted Ridge is nearby and there’s old mine pits in Mark Twain national forest. The museum there is super cool! My friend Adam donated a lot of the specimens in the mining display.

    Do you need any special kind of permission to rockhound in the state of missouri? If so, where do you go and what do you do to get it?

    • @dustinfindsrocks
      @dustinfindsrocks  Год назад

      Yep we tried that’s why I brought the geodes the URAs are an incredibly rare find. The areas where they’re located are all developed and inaccessible
