As a designer and artist being armed with this information is invaluable. I will design accordingly. Thank you. I couldn't agree with what you stated more about buying for a lifetime. In light of inflation and the current economy it seems everyone is shopping for items that have longevity and are NOT just impulse buys that you regret after 6 months. I am a subscriber to your channel and appreciate videos like these. Takes a lot of the guesswork out of creating colour palettes. Cheers.
The red orange, red dahlia, burnt sienna would look good on me, I think. The yellow too, on occasion. The dough color for neutrals. Btw your hair & makeup in this vid - both gorgeous!
I loved this! I can’t see colors in my mind’s eye so I have a hard time differentiating if colors/tones have yellow or white added. I would love to see this video seasonally to help buy more sustainably!
Spring: 1#Kolrabi .B 2# Doe .W 3# Persian jewel Light: 1#Tender peach Summer : 1#Carnival glass. L(CW) 2# Coconut milk. S Autumn: 1# Burnt sienna .S 2# Red orange .W (WS) 3# Joyful yellow .W (WS) 4# Red Dahlia .D 5# Silver birch . D light Deep: 1# Hot fudge Winter: 1# Viva magenta .D 2# Eclipse . D 3# Rose violet .D/C 3 - 4 spring, 2 - 3 summer, 5 - 7 autumn, 3 - 4 winter. No distinctly cool summer or true summer? I'm questioning how blue the mint "carnival glass" looks to me , or how much the rose violet might be borrowable for "cools" as it leans for a dark. I can't picture borrowing "tender peach" for a cool. However, there's a light purple in malls now, like a warmer lavender that I'm curious as to, whether,it is in the light or cool/true summer category - that I'd go for if it were my price range. There's not much in the Pantone colors I could definitely put my finger on whether I'd jump for it. Maybe Viva Magenta and coconut milk? But I'd definitely categorize Viva M. as winter. I like navy, and silver ,but I can see the warmth of silver birch (tempting me to call it light spring, your right though,I can see why you put it into deep autumn) and the depth of Eclipse.
Not a lot for a soft summer 🥲 i have the most gorgeous winter foe fur coat in deep purple, which definitely isn’t in my palette (only the undertone is correct, not much else 🤣), but i love to wear it with a scarf that’s more in my palette or if it’s open, a high neck knitwear that’s softer. I don’t know if this actually helps, but at least i find, that since the actual material is soft, i like it on me. Or perhaps it’s just my bias, cause I love the damn coat. 😃
Hi Sarah! Great video! I'm playing catch up this week as I just got home from holidays to the UK. I was even in your beautiful country! I love the 'Doe' colour. I'm really into the browns/carmels/creams this season AND they are in my colour palette!
Burnt Sienna for sure. I think I do have tops in that colour. One of my winter jackets is in coconut milk and its okay, since I am a soft autumn. But I do prefer creme, beige, brown or burnt orange. But no matter the season, I would find something to wear anyway, since I do love most of the colours I see here.
I want to have my colors done but there seems to be so much variation in what is offered and the prices. I checked out someone locally and she is charging $300 for a basic session. I’m not sure what questions to ask to insure the person is qualified and if they will go into all the subs and not just the four basic seasons. What should I ask?
Hi, I'm new to seasonal colors and I have a question. Is it possible, and if not then why, to be a "dark summer"? I feel like I look best in soft, cool but dark colors. I have dark ashy blonde hair that reflects some golden tones and dark eyebrows. My skin is fair and I have a lot of redness in my face. And my eyes are in a dark greyish teal- blue shade.
In the 16 color system is a deep summer but not in the 12 system but I would say what you describe sounds exactly what I look like and I'm a Cool Summer :) This type goes to winter and has a little more contrast and depth in his colors than usual summers have.
Not in the 12 sub seasons however, depending on how much 'value' (depth/lightness) and chroma (softness/brightness) and coolness/warmth you have in your features, you could lean closer to the Winter or Autumn palettes. I would have to analyse you to say for sure :)
Yes! We want a video about how to wear yellow
Hit return before I finished typing lol. I’m a fair skinned, white haired (I’m Irish) Winter. Thanks

Burnt sienna and doe will work best for me; a soft autumn.
They will be fabulous on you!
I love these videos utilizing Pantone colors!
Glad you like them!
I'd like a video about yellow! Yellow is my best colour.

Rose violet is unexpected and beautiful! 😍
So true!
I love this Sarah! Rose violet is the one I’ll be keeping my eyes on. If only all clothing retailers would name their pieces using the Pantone system
I know, shopping would be so much easier!
Yes please on the yellow vid. I’m a fair skinned, white haired, Irish descent Winter. Thanks

So interesting, thank you! Of the 15 colors, only "doe" suits me as a warm Spring. I can borrow some of the lighter Autumn colors. Love your videos!
Thank you!
Red orange is my favourite colour! It's so happy!
I love Doe , definitely a colour for me .
I have a coat in that color (I am a warm spring) and it not only keeps me warm but looks fantastic and always gets me compliments.
Yes yes, I would love a video on wearing yellow

May I suggest a video about wearing yellow with harmonies? Yellow pairs well with purple and also some greens, browns and pinks. Just a suggestion.

This is a great idea! It would be great to see a video like this every season 🥰
Great idea!!
And looooooove the Persian jewel.
So nice!

It's not great for true summer either. I like your solution for your purple coat. I do similar things.
yeah... peach and coconut. lame.
feel like trends keep missing our colors.
Cool / true summer here - it will be a cheap autumn/winter this year. 😅
A very informative video. I would wear the periwinkle, yellow and apple green - some of my most flattering colours!!

Persian jewel looks cool and soft to me I don't understand it

What shade of lipstick is that?! So pretty
Thank you! That was a while ago but I think it’s Bobbi Brown Plum Rose ☺️
Does a copper toned mint, not tend , to be warmer than a cool mint Julep?

Why am i able to tell the season(s) of those colors but not of myself or people around me?! :'/ ._.'
This is very common. It's tricky to be objective with yourself.
I'm lucky because yellow looks good on me. Not a fan of the red orange, but I willl be able to work the peach too.
I thought magenta was hot pink or purple pink? Magenta is pink red?
Not much for summers at all then!
That often seems to be the case. Sigh.
If you understand your sister season it opens up more possibilities.
Didn’t think of that @@sarahryanthestylecoach 🤦🏻♀ Still trying to get the hang of my season!
Persian jewel used to suit me but now ages me. Everything else is too deep, too dark, too cool, too bright. I will buy second hand.
Still gotta make sure you are buying your best colours, first hand or second hand :)
I meant to say I will buy second hand clothes in colours from previous seasons that suited me if this season's colours don't.
As a soft summer, I guess I’ll be naked because none of these suit me
Oh dear 😅
