its a world of warcraft streamer drama. pirate software was a well respected streamer until he left his team to die in a raid. then kinda crashed out cuz he got a little hate for it. then got alot of hate and did not respond to any of it well.
Guild of streamers including Pirate were raiding in WoW hardcore classic, where if your character dies it dies for good. Their tank misplayed and pulled more than they should safely fight at once, a call to run was made, and then everyone played terribly. They tried (or made it look like they were trying) to salvage the situation, while Pirate kept running away. Two people's characters died. Everyone messed up, and admitted their faults, but Pirate came across as excusing. People are more bothered by Pirate's attitude rather than him playing badly. His lack of remorse and accountability after running away and leaving his team for dead made him seem too cocky and overconfident like he's never wrong -- and he doubled down, tripled down, insisted on his position -- and it led to him getting kicked out of the streamer guild. After that, people took advantage and started to dig up Pirate's stuff as a way to target him, painting him like a narcissist. He didn't respond to any of it well.
