I am a 16 year old organist who has been in love with this genre of music since I was a much younger child. I've been singing this ballad for a long time and have loved artists from Richard Tauber to Webster Booth & Anne Ziegler. Too bad not many others in my school, appreciate this kind of music. It's such a shame because this is the best out of all genres!
I feel that too few people are aware of this truly wonderful recording and performance !
it's a song my father use to sing so many years ago - such fond memories
Been in my head since I was a kid. Eighty now!
Heavenly ! It is sad that the younger generations are unaware of such beauty and inspiration ...

Fortunately there are now available a couple of Richard Tauber’s films such as “Heart’s Desire” (1935). I have had to wait decades for them.
Im in my 50s I love this music. My mother and father were both in 2nd world war I got my love of this music from my parents.

Bravo Papa! (Eric Glass)
sentimental, but none the worse for this. There is still room for idealized love.
Malacky McCourt brought me here.
Ooh did he cite Richard Tauber?
