Wow its really nice to find someone who actually knows what theyre doing and can explain it in an informative way, loads of other people showing theyre builds dont really explain their choices and the context behind them. Whilst i disagree with the deckbuild slightly i think thats natural considering there are things that different people prioritize when building a deck. i''m at 52:02 right now and when it clicked, i screamed. ive been playing variants of atlantean mermails since i first started playing around 2017 on Duelingbook, and i've been struggling to think of outs for a lot of the popular disruption right now. i also couldn't figure out decent ways to get out rank 4 xyz monsters, where i'd try to use Aqua Spirit or even sometimes synchro summoning into Crystron Quandax to overlay, but it'd be bricky and terrible. so many awesome ideas in this video. also, thanks for validating my feelings on Moulanglacia being maybe less valuable right now than other options. this is hands down the most valuable yugioh video i've watched in the past 5 years, lmao. thank you for putting this together!

I picked a good chunk of this core (including 2 Arias and an Ulti Abyssgaios) for about $10. After I read the cards I noticed the incredible synergy they have, and I'm happy I went down this rabbit hole. Keep kicking ass, bro.
I was messing around on DB today with a friend building a bunch of crazy decks based on old cards. I think my favorite was a Launcher Spider-Megamorph OTK. But one card he told me to build a deck around was Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo Daedalus, and to be honest, I never really looked into old sea serpent support until today. I ended up going with Atlantean Mermail as the engine and I think it worked out pretty well all things considered. Deck was surprisingly consistent for how old it was. I go looking into actual builds and find this video, from today funny enough. Pretty neat guide, thanks!

hi!!! There are several ways to go turbo calamities, some use deskbot, others plaguespreader and even fishborg. My fav ones are the fishborg easy plays, as you can easily get minimum toad+calamities, but as I am looking forward for the next banlist, and vfd is surely gonna die, this is a good way to go. I would play the spell that searches water monsters from deck at 3. 1 water monster in GY is such a low cost. Also curious why you dont side feather duster
I gave my reasons in the other techs segment as too why I'm not currently playing Deep Sea Aria(I'm very back an forth on it). Also for duster there's no real reason I'm not playing it. I think my online build is playing it over reboot. I just don't think I have room for both reboot and duster. Im really not opposed to playing one over the other though if that makes any sense
So hey, I have a question about the Frogs. It seems to me that you can only Xyz Summon Toad if you open Swap Frog, otherwise, you can maybe mill the froggies and get a Ronintoadin' from the GY, but in that scenario, it's just one more free body. Am I wrong, or just missing something? Do the frogs bring something big, or are they just the least likely non-Atlantean/Mermail/Deep Sea cards to brick? I appreciate your insight.
yeah frogs in my opinion are just the best supporting engine that can be played with mermail. Toad is a hell of a card and having access to free link/synchro fodder is really nice.
Legit just went to franks to get the whole thing maxed out in one go. Love this deck so much. Question what are your thoughts on running the charmer link over mistar boy for the interactions with triple tactic talents when you steal something and are locked under coral Anemone ? So now that Halq’s banned in MD, is this deck unplayable? I feel like you have substantially more experience with the deck than I do and Idk what we’re gonna do now without him; it seems like he’s needed at some point for every combo I’ve ever seen in this deck and now it’s up in flames. How does the deck look in the OCG? Does literally anyone play it or is it just a RIP and time to move on from my favorite deck?

I didn't mention it, but dragoons effect is mandatory as well so yes you can chain block with infantry an marksman.
