The channel which made me take the final decision to move from Florida to Texas! In Florida a real state agent had hard time when saying his opinion about Lennar. So Thanks for the courage to “expose” the bad guys, this is much appreciated to protect your client for sure! God bless you always!
David Weekley is a big builder in Texas too. I'd probably put them in A or S tier. Not as boujee as Highland but the quality and customer experience is fantastic
Purchased Grand Homes, been over a year and they still have not finished it yet. THey've also lowerd prices, and sales people were initially nice but follow ups could of improved. Should of done more research but here I am still waiting for home to be finished
Just curious, what community did you purchase in and what floor plan did you choose? I've been looking at Grand for a while now and have been skeptical.
I think you should've given a disclaimer on First texas, if you got your home prior to covid it was a low A high B quality, however after covid you're probably spot on with putting them in the C category pending on your neighborhood. We got our home inspected via 3rd party so no loyalty to the builder throughout its entire completion and he was impressed on how well built our home was. Even better than some of those in the A category. But again ours was started pre covid when things were different
Thank you another informative video. Last video, I warned about Century Communities, & now I’m looking to make the move to Coventry. But after seeing the Highland (interior wise) I may have to reconsider. GFO looks interesting as well but I don’t believe they’re here in San Antonio I’d also choose Chesmar over Coventry for the exterior layout. I like the way the garage can be offset instead of directly in front. But those designs don’t fit my budget unfortunately.
Does anyone have experience with the “The Build Company” as a builder they are building in Houston? I had a Saratoga home in Houston in a master planned community and I will never buy an Saratoga home again. We had so many issues from the beginning. It took them 2 years to fix most of them and we sold the house after just 4 years in the house. When we wanted it to be our last home we would buy
My wife has sold a few American Legend homes. They are B worthy at least. Totally agree with you about Highland. We’ve owned two of their homes. Tradition Homes is another elite builder. Imo if you want better than these two builders you would have to go custom.
Very nice video! What is your opinion on Southgate homes and Tradition homes? You didn’t mention either of them in your review. Where would he add them in your ratings?
In my own opinion, Highland is about as cookie cutter as you can get. They're building the exact same set of floor plans in almost every one of their many dozen neighborhoods all over Texas, and they have been building them for years, but it's gotten worse the last couple of years. For Coventry, I'd be concerned with that F from the BBB. Have you ever worked with Village Homes in Fort Worth?
We started owning homes at 20, when they were giving away mortgages :) We then crashed with the market crash 😫 I started selling new construction in 2007 as a sales counselor and then as a REALTOR®.

First Texas home. I love the design and build quality.

I saw the build quality is far low
I loved my Chesmar Home!
I care more about behind the walls quality than the standard finishes

Whats your thoughts on Mattamy Homes
American Legend should be up in the A category because I think they are very good quality builders. I think they are equal to Highland Homes.
Thank you for sharing your experience with American Legend!
What about their price points?!
Why is stucco not good for Texas?
Very nice video! What is your opinion on Southgate homes and Tradition homes? You didn’t mention either of them in your review. Where would he add them in your ratings?
Oh man I love Southgate homes! Southgate over Toll anyday! For Tradition, I haven't sold any yet to give an insiders review.
I want a good Highland home but damn are they expensive for their size.
Yes they can be pricey.
Are you still considering William Ryan as A rank?
Yeah, and out of all of those builders, i could never afford any one of those homes.
What do you think about K.Hov Westland Ranch in league city?

Thanks for sharing! I haven't worked with Village Homes yet.
The floor plans for Highland suck

Man, how many homes has this lady owned?!?
We started owning homes at 20, when they were giving away mortgages :) We then crashed with the market crash 😫 I started selling new construction in 2007 as a sales counselor and then as a REALTOR®.
😂
I was thinking the same thing. Just the idea of moving frequently gives me indigestion. Lol!
