For people that have a hard time finding secrets. I found it very usefull to make my mini map as big as possible and having it zoomed in. That way it's easier to spot the secret when you're close by. I'm find so many more secrets in the wall because of this.
You can also see it using the large map. Once you've cleared a map entirely but not found a secret room, you can bring up the big map and zoom it and just scan the map until you see it. It'll show up even if your character isn't there but your vision is.
Holy cow man! That T-bird spawn was insane this run. Thanks for posting these! Replayability with this game is worth it with all the different characters and the buffs that come from all your other ones
I missed your last video, But I discovered an absolutely cracked ranger build. Dual daggers ranger. Melee focused, ultra fast weapon speed, and no reliance on skills. Max out both base passives, take one or two levels in marked, and I took the "wind" specialization, but only leveled the passive. With skill orbs you can attack ultra fast, build crit chance and damage, regen on hit, and absolutely shred targets. the biggest challenge was Shadow face, but beyond that I took a level 1 ranger to 12 in a single run with just this set up, and no additional gear! Give it a try!
This is something I've also done. But it works even better if you drop Marked Shot on a group/boss first because the max level increases your physical damage by 20%. If you max out the Big Game Hunter effect then it adds another 30% damage to bosses/elites. You will melt them
Secret Rooms have a set number for the map type. It is almost always the same with very few exceptions which may have been me just missing them. These numbers are for each floor so both Caves have 2 each etc.: Forest - None Caves - 2 Temple - 1 Crypt - 1 Dungeon 1 Barracks - 2 Court - 1 Dark Room - 2
Secrets are harder to spot in dungeon, that one is something they should make more clear imo, it's easy to spot it when it's clear walls since it stands out so much then, but in dungeon there's gunk everywhere so you can't really spot it all that well in that biome.
I like looking for weird builds, what I found was using the greataxe on a ranger warden, with its passive procing gusts on dealing dmg with whirlwind, putting points in dex ups ur crit chance and crit dmg AND spell dmg the gusts from the passive scales with spell power, just need decent hp and hp regen to heal with 2 skill orb passives one that heals based on a % of your max hp and one that tripples ur hp regen
Chaos Warlock, and Ranger Marksman are a great team combo, me and a friend beat both ng+1 and +2 on our first tries playing that combo. Unfortunately it was almost 2 in the morning so we didn't do ng+3
Marked Shot is actually better than I think you give it credit for. Assuming you're doing physical damage, it's an extra 20% damage. Where I find it to be great is when you're in a group that does a lot of physical damage because that buff works for everyone in the party. I end up using it on bosses and elites more than regular trash because I don't tend to boost my mana pool much
Conjuration Wizard with ice focus is powerful. I take ice hydras and ice sword and pick gear that add bonuses to ice damage and ice pen. From what I can tell, the fire sword does no damage on hit, only on the fire explosion. The ice based sword will damage enemies on each swing. The build absolutely claps boss cheeks.
Ranger can heal yourself and others if you get a certain skill orb. I don’t want to spoil anything for you so I won’t tell you what skill, but it’s a thing
My comment about you missing the rooms intentionally was said in jest. I ofc understand that trying to be entertaining while playing the game and trying not to die etc. is harder than me just playing at home. Hope you didn't take it the wrong way
I started this last night, after finishing Starcom unknown space, and my poor little ranger has to back pedal to kite more than if the peleton in the tour de France accidentally rolled back down hill...
I noticed you avoided getting the trap skill entirely. Was that to prevent it from showing up in skill orb choices? I think its a viable strategy for Ranger and Rogue but not sure for any other classes.
Had a run where we ran into like 7 pyres but not a single shadow curse, we only had to use 1 of them due to the shadow curse gain some enemies deal in ng+ runs
if you take lightning glyph, traps, and wolves its a pretty decent lure combo...ive been having fun but the ranger seems soft... i built the bomb rogue and rolled to the last boss alot..and i mean alot..easier ... ranger seemed to lose umph after shadow face...
talking vs game attention, its a division of tasks problem. if you ever want to do multiplayer game with some of the other youtubers, and get into a rythm with them. then i am pretty sure for all involved, you can talk way more. and yet have more attention on side stuff outside of combat. thought if your ever going to try such a addition for this game, i would expect full clears in such runs. and yea starting from the caves, you can find secrets rooms. only the forest doesn't have any.
Btw looks like a lot of criticism is being thrown at NG+ currently, seems way too unbalanced and tacked on, hope the devs address it as thats a big issue imo
@@gamingwithjeff From what I can tell it doesn't scale well, a lot of the flat bonuses drop off and the reduced stats get silly, then the shadow curse just piles onto that. I guess certain broken builds will do ok early on, but less and less becomes viable the higher you go. Ive not tried, but looking at reddit and steam forums
Question. I’ve got hero’s of hammer watch 2 for ps5. How do I start the run it only lets me do the Ronald’s Revenge story mode. So I’m a little confused.

I will try that, thanks, 😁

This is actually something I wanted to test out as soon as I found some decent daggers! Glad to hear it's actually good

There were 3 secret rooms in the the last area in this vid
I love seeing the different ways everyone maneuvers trap rooms. It's interesting

I agree with this a lot, I was playing on the steam deck and had an easier time seeing cracks in every area except the dungeon

I probably didn't mention it enough but I was using it on every boss. It's definitely a good spell

"Hopefully the combo kills does it..." proceeds to miss secret door, lol
Then in the end dungeon. "Surely there is a secret room here if I kep shooting " -> shoots open a crack and walks away

By any chance, I would glad to see summoning warlock run, jist wanna learn equipment and playstylt 😊
Planning on Summon Warlock either next video or the one after 😀
You missed the skill orb in forest floor 2.
when you get 3 wolf companions and a army of gnome dudes..it claps a bit
*proceeds to get three wolves and claps the cheeks....
maybe youj can try the warlock summoner build. seems quite bit of fun ;)
I noticed you avoided getting the trap skill entirely. Was that to prevent it from showing up in skill orb choices? I think its a viable strategy for Ranger and Rogue but not sure for any other classes.
Yup, I'm a big fan of cutting skills you don't want. I kind of wish the skill tree could be reset to a totally clean slate.
6:12 Secret Rooms (

I always do every run with 100 shadow curse. You do an insane amount of damage. Easily gets through new game +1-4
@@Mik3jensen Sounds like a fun idea, basically a glass cannon build. Would probably work really well with a rogue evasion build.
How do you get the Beastmaster class?
Reaching level 10 with a class unlocks their 3 specialization options. Also have to level up guild hall in your town to rank 4 I think?
Is this steam deck compatible and is there alot of loot?
As you said not skipping, you ran past the forest orb... bruh
Biggest issue with ranger Ive found is HP regen, even when you fully spec in its still quiet poor
All my homies love pony boy

First NG+ run is coming up, so far no issues but I can see how NG++ could start getting tedious

This game is so nice but the entire shadowcurse system makes it lot less intresting in ng+ and above. hopefully they do somethign about it.

Umm are you sure you don't have HammerWatch 2? Two separate games
@ I have hammer watch 2. It’s not on ps5 I’m guessing just the first on and hammer watch 2.
@scottiecombs281 Yeah that's why then, hopefully they port this to ps5 at some point, it feels like a great couch co-op game
