Magnus Carlsen - My thoughts on Magnus Carlsen Signature Series Chess Set - House of Staunton

What can be better than owning a chess set made after the name of one of the greatest chess players, the Magnus Carlsen Signature Series Chess Set, brought to you by House of Staunton? Although in this video I am not presenting the actual Magnus Carlsen Signature Series Chess Set, as I realized prior to purchasing the Magnus Carlsen Signature Series Chess Set, that the pieces in this chess set are the same chess pieces that I have reviewed just recently. In this video you will get to see approximately what you'll be getting if you purchase the Magnus Carlsen chess set and also as a helpful addition to some people who might wish to consider other color boards as an alternative to the black and white board. A great idea to mix the parts of this set and show it as it would be. I always love seeing your "war-torn" chessboards with your kids' markings. That always makes your reviews more authentic, more personal and real.
I share your dislike of black.and-white boards. As a 43 year old, contrast is very necessary in the things I look at for hours, and the green-and-white are by far the most relaxing, along with the woodgrain mousepad boards.
I sold my Woodtek set to one of my cousins because they're great quality and will withstand the children's abuse, but other than that as a player I feel something's off with these pieces. I get the impression that they may not be selling very well and that's why they're attaching Magnus' name to them in order to spike some interest, maybe. At this price point I think it would be better to just go with the Ultimate set, version 3 and put together a personal combo.

Kids totally upgraded that chess pad.
Honestly would love that it reminds me of them while I enjoy the hobby.

I bought this same set and love it! Paired it with a wood grain mousepad board and it looks awesome! One question? It says it is quad weighted but when compared it to the bobby fischer set I have which is triple weighted, the fischer set weighs more. How did yours feel?

A WOODTEK Chess Set (?) with a mousepad chess board (?) and a bag I would use for dirty laundry, sold on a site that has some of the best, most beautiful Chess Sets in the World - OH, but you do get the 5 time World Champions' autograph on the bag and the mousepad!!
