Well we're winning almost all of them these days. It just depends how things fall and with work. Last season I had the misfortune to cover four defeats in a row, that was crushing. I don't know if I can get either of the next two games out in time for the follow up ones. I will be doing Leeds for sure though.

Thanks for the upload. Great content as usual! Rewatched it today myself. Boro didn't look half as dangerous as it felt in the moment and we actually looked quite good ourselves. Didn't create much of course as but really good control in and out of possession. Just a shame that Mundle's free kick didn't hit home.
Agreed. In the moment I thought we were fortunate to be ahead at half time, but really they were quite disappointing in their play when I reviewed the game. One style, not much creativity and Lath had almost no chances but that desperate stretch that looped just wide. I do think that there are some teams with too much for us in the division though. @@altending Chances and goals after penalty appeals are just so typical and seem to happen for everybody. The other big chance was caused by an 09 slip (or so it seems). I was amazed to see how well we actually controlled the game from 45-70. I agree, the Leeds game for example will be tough but at least it's a home game, so fingers crossed.
Cheer Gary, yep it is a lot of effort, but worth doing for our club. And it is worth it when people tell me they have enjoyed it. I'm glad I don't disappoint, but be sure to let me know when I get it wrong.

Class again Alt. Really enjoyed the video 👍. Brilliant result, good to bounce back off that defeat last week. Boro only had one tactic, and we found a way through it, hopefully we can keep it up against higher quality teams who will play through us better. We do seem vulnerable from counter attacks and fast crosses into the box, but I am still hopeful we will keep this form up. Great video mate, hope you’re doing well 👍
Yes we are vulnerable to that, because we stake so much on attacking with aggression. Comes with the territory. There will undoubtedly be games where we come unstuck to this. Let's see if we have the mettle to cope with it.

Brilliant analysis as per! Think we were a bit lacking in the way we moved the ball in attack today and didnt create as much as we would like. Our ability to control games without the ball is fantastic though, both burnley and boro now have come to the SoL and spent 2/3 of the game banging their heads against a wall trying to find a way through
It will be telling to see how those teams choose to play us in the return fixture, but yes, Le Bris has a system the players understand that locks down the middle of the pitch. Big tests coming with Watford and Leeds though. If we can control a game against them then I will believe.
Yes 2 big questions or me are how he can adapt the system to prevent us from becoming predictable, and how we go about playing teams who dont want possession and are happy to punt it long/overload the wings and fire in crosses all game

We defend narrow. The much-maligned Rooney got the ball out wide early, exploited the space, and stretched us. The well-thought-of Carrick didn't. .Boro reviews have labeled it predictable Making life too easy for RLB.. He's already eluded we need more control, the first twenty minutes of the second half went some way to addressing that. This will suit Neil, we're not getting the best out of him. Work in progress. Excellent analysis.
Thank you for your kind comments. Yes, we still have improvements to make and Regis at least seems clear about where improvement is needed in games. Sadly for Dan Neil, the role he is asked to play stifles his creativity, but if we can get forward as a unit in a more consistent and balanced way like second half, then he will get chances to shine. I am glad to still be justifying the sub of one of my longest supporters. We've come a long way haven't we.
@@altending it was like an actual plan, specifically designed for who we were playing. Surely it'll never catch on? But really, you need quality players to carry out such plans, and we have an increasing amount. My favourite thing apart from the goal was Boro playing well to scrape out of the press then immediately passing to us! Happened about 3 times lol
haha...I know. It's a privilege to watch our team have this level of organisation. We're sure to stumble and get found out on the odd occasion, but at least we have plans and appropriate ones. It's a novel approach and one we can all enjoy.
I’ve gotta admit mate i’ve been biting my tongue not commenting on any YT vids since the game(i don’t want to come across too much as a serial pessimist). It was a far from convincing display for me. I thought we were very erratic defensively early on, and lucky that Hume stayed on the pitch. Saying that, once we got ahead by another moment of Rigg brilliance our 2nd half defensive performance improved massively. Not the constant ‘high press’ game we all expected to see, but good to see Regis has more about him in his approach. I’m being way too critical, but i think our performances have to be more assured if we’re to be considered as serious promotion candidates. But i’m more than happy with the 3 points as i thought a draw would’ve been a fair result. Good debut from Mepham and for me Mayenda still doesn’t look anywhere near the solution to our nagging ‘striker issue’. Anyway, onwards and upwards. 🇵🇪
I think I agree with all that. There are some teams in the league I think might take us apart, we are vulnerable to turnovers, switches in play, balls over the top. Let's see how it goes. It was a very finely balanced game at half time and we were perhaps fortunate to be leading, but we looked much more in control second half don't you think? We can score and threaten though and I think we have to respect the fact we've not conceded a single goal at home and have played Burnley and Boro. We are surely play off contenders? Can you see six other teams definitely better than us? Fingers crossed. I appreciate the view though. Good to have alternative comment.
@@altendingtotally mate. You’ve completely highlighted the point i was probably getting at, in that we’ve looked far more convincing at home in all our other games. Saturday’s game could easily have slipped away from us ealry on and replicated that awful result against them last year. It did look as though we were the away team for large periods of the game, and that was a concern for me. The goal then totally changed the outcome from our gameplan. I agree, in form we do have the makings of a top six team, but i’d still like to see a return to the efforts we’ve witnessed in the first 4 games, and maybe try a different striking option from the start. I was ridiculed by mates last year saying all season that we had the players to achieve a top six finish, and here we now are under Le Bris performing as such with pretty much the same squad. Our young squad has the potential to achieve it, but it’s obvious Regis is gonna play a massive part in bringing that out of the players. Great vid as always marra. Thanks again.

I use Premier Pro for editing. So, some of those graphics are in the system like the side blue bars with text, some are elements I have purchased and manipulated (like the bendy arrows with glow on). Some are just png transparency images like the solid yellow arrows. The graphics for stats, team sheet, subs and unfolding section titles are all purchased elements over time. I manipulate them all and some of the really fancy ones I have to edit and render in After Effects before I can use them in editing. Basically I've just gradually built things up over time, trying to get better ones and learn new stuff. If you go over the old videos in the channel you can see when I made these changes over time. It has taken a long time to learn it all though.

Well I've missed two, one win and one loss. I did four losses in a row last season. I likely won't get Watford and Derby done as the turnaround time between games is too short. (I might get Derby done?) But I will be doing Leeds. Let the results fall where they may. (The Plymouth review will be out...it's half done. Last week was just busy with work. when it comes out the only one not review will have been a win)
They are ignorant. One of them spent two whole games commentating to Sleet last year, before someone corrected them. They don't actually know our team. Part of the reason I started making these was because of the lack of something to watch on us in the mainstream. Hopefully I'm doing a good job.
I only think he could have been off if his studs are up over the ball, but they aren't. I must confess to not looking at what the tackled player was doing in advance of collision. But it was a yellow and on we go. I think Hume is only one booking away from a suspension now though...who plays RB when he picks that up?

Class again Alt. Really enjoyed the video 👍. Brilliant result, good to bounce back off that defeat last week. Boro only had one tactic, and we found a way through it, hopefully we can keep it up against higher quality teams who will play through us better. We do seem vulnerable from counter attacks and fast crosses into the box, but I am still hopeful we will keep this form up. Great video mate, hope you’re doing well 👍
Yes we are vulnerable to that, because we stake so much on attacking with aggression. Comes with the territory. There will undoubtedly be games where we come unstuck to this. Let's see if we have the mettle to cope with it.

Brilliant analysis as per! Think we were a bit lacking in the way we moved the ball in attack today and didnt create as much as we would like. Our ability to control games without the ball is fantastic though, both burnley and boro now have come to the SoL and spent 2/3 of the game banging their heads against a wall trying to find a way through
It will be telling to see how those teams choose to play us in the return fixture, but yes, Le Bris has a system the players understand that locks down the middle of the pitch. Big tests coming with Watford and Leeds though. If we can control a game against them then I will believe.
Yes 2 big questions or me are how he can adapt the system to prevent us from becoming predictable, and how we go about playing teams who dont want possession and are happy to punt it long/overload the wings and fire in crosses all game

Well I'm very glad you enjoyed the video. Nothing more that sunderland fans deserve.
We defend narrow. The much-maligned Rooney got the ball out wide early, exploited the space, and stretched us. The well-thought-of Carrick didn't. .Boro reviews have labeled it predictable Making life too easy for RLB.. He's already eluded we need more control, the first twenty minutes of the second half went some way to addressing that. This will suit Neil, we're not getting the best out of him. Work in progress. Excellent analysis.
Thank you for your kind comments. Yes, we still have improvements to make and Regis at least seems clear about where improvement is needed in games. Sadly for Dan Neil, the role he is asked to play stifles his creativity, but if we can get forward as a unit in a more consistent and balanced way like second half, then he will get chances to shine. I am glad to still be justifying the sub of one of my longest supporters. We've come a long way haven't we.

But really, you need quality players to carry out such plans, and we have an increasing amount.
My favourite thing apart from the goal was Boro playing well to scrape out of the press then immediately passing to us! Happened about 3 times lol
haha...I know. It's a privilege to watch our team have this level of organisation. We're sure to stumble and get found out on the odd occasion, but at least we have plans and appropriate ones. It's a novel approach and one we can all enjoy.

I’ve gotta admit mate i’ve been biting my tongue not commenting on any YT vids since the game(i don’t want to come across too much as a serial pessimist).
It was a far from convincing display for me. I thought we were very erratic defensively early on, and lucky that Hume stayed on the pitch.
Saying that, once we got ahead by another moment of Rigg brilliance our 2nd half defensive performance improved massively. Not the constant ‘high press’ game we all expected to see, but good to see Regis has more about him in his approach.
I’m being way too critical, but i think our performances have to be more assured if we’re to be considered as serious promotion candidates. But i’m more than happy with the 3 points as i thought a draw would’ve been a fair result.
Good debut from Mepham and for me Mayenda still doesn’t look anywhere near the solution to our nagging ‘striker issue’.

I think I agree with all that. There are some teams in the league I think might take us apart, we are vulnerable to turnovers, switches in play, balls over the top. Let's see how it goes. It was a very finely balanced game at half time and we were perhaps fortunate to be leading, but we looked much more in control second half don't you think?
We can score and threaten though and I think we have to respect the fact we've not conceded a single goal at home and have played Burnley and Boro. We are surely play off contenders? Can you see six other teams definitely better than us? Fingers crossed. I appreciate the view though. Good to have alternative comment.
@@altendingtotally mate. You’ve completely highlighted the point i was probably getting at, in that we’ve looked far more convincing at home in all our other games.
Saturday’s game could easily have slipped away from us ealry on and replicated that awful result against them last year.
It did look as though we were the away team for large periods of the game, and that was a concern for me. The goal then totally changed the outcome from our gameplan.
I agree, in form we do have the makings of a top six team, but i’d still like to see a return to the efforts we’ve witnessed in the first 4 games, and maybe try a different striking option from the start.
I was ridiculed by mates last year saying all season that we had the players to achieve a top six finish,
and here we now are under Le Bris performing as such with pretty much the same squad.
Our young squad has the potential to achieve it, but it’s obvious Regis is gonna play a massive part in bringing that out of the players.

what do you use for your stats and analytic drawing tools?
I use Premier Pro for editing. So, some of those graphics are in the system like the side blue bars with text, some are elements I have purchased and manipulated (like the bendy arrows with glow on). Some are just png transparency images like the solid yellow arrows. The graphics for stats, team sheet, subs and unfolding section titles are all purchased elements over time. I manipulate them all and some of the really fancy ones I have to edit and render in After Effects before I can use them in editing.
Basically I've just gradually built things up over time, trying to get better ones and learn new stuff. If you go over the old videos in the channel you can see when I made these changes over time. It has taken a long time to learn it all though.

They are ignorant. One of them spent two whole games commentating to Sleet last year, before someone corrected them. They don't actually know our team. Part of the reason I started making these was because of the lack of something to watch on us in the mainstream. Hopefully I'm doing a good job.

Hume could of been off? Have another look and you will see the Boro player jumped in with TWO FEET. The Boro player should of been sent off.
I only think he could have been off if his studs are up over the ball, but they aren't. I must confess to not looking at what the tackled player was doing in advance of collision. But it was a yellow and on we go. I think Hume is only one booking away from a suspension now though...who plays RB when he picks that up?
