I've been listening to this song for over a decade now and I can't believe that someone just made it better and made me love it /even more/ for a whole different reason? These slowed versions are really bringing out whole different vibes out of music and give songs brand new lives. Love this.
yeah the 80's saw absolute bangers, I still listen to a lot of music from the 80's and 90's. Music from nowadays is also cool, the only problem I see with it is that most songs sound too similar, like if they were being produced just to fill the market and sell, but still, I love music both from the modern era and the 80's

Every (live) version is different, but they all have one thing in common: Blue Monday makes you want to move, dance and or sing the lyrics. And there is another fact that applies to most of the versions: They make you feel like you have arrived in the future. What I enjoy about this the most, is that it's the first version that makes Blue Monday feel dystopic( Believe me, I know so many versions and that's the first one that applies to this criteria). And I always felt that Blue Monday is kinda sad and a bit about hopelessness and loneliness, so this is actually expressing how I felt about this song since I know it. Btw, if you put on x 1,25 speed, you get the normal pace of the song, which sounds fantastic as well!
In regards to the feeling of hopelessness and loneliness of Blue Monday, New Order was made after an unfortunate passing of the lead singer of Joy Division. As upbeat as Blue Monday originally is, New Order always has a tinge of 'goth' from their post-punk origins.
I went to a cocktail bar over the weekend called Udaberri and the DJ was blasting records with some new stuff thrown in and I asked him if he had this song and he played it with the reverb with the same speed, it was so good!

This reminds of me of the times my parents were together, before the days they got divorced, and moved country... they loved this song, it was their favourite, my mum is living in Greece, my dad is in Jail and i moved back to Russia, i listen to this, it reminds me of the only good childhood i gad
