A TALE ABOUT NATAMA
In the tradition of Ungurean Vlachs from the village of Plavna, in Negotinska Krajina, there is a legend of 'Natama' - a pagan ritual which helps the people discover who is it that harmed another person from the village. Eventually, psychologically pressed by the conjoint chanting, the culprit reveals himself and confesses the misdeed. This ritual served as a moral code in the village and improved the behaviour and the relationships among the inhabitants.
