When I was younger and new in the way I had a feeling or possibly a spiritual guidance that something was missing or I wasn't being told or taught. Something I needed to know while moving forward in my faith in Jesus. Perhaps I wasn't ready for a "host" of reasons. I have been finding out the biggest reason I couldn't see them was because they are invisible and right before my face looking at me right in the eye. Like in so many other things we see only the shadows of what has been and what is. Making most of the best, hidden in plan sight. The unseen Realm once seen brings light to scripture and has begun a new adventure for me. I appreciate Jesus more and more each day. Seeing the forest through the trees, reading the space between the lines and learning more about the Spirit and spiritual matters has been a blessing.
Bless you, brothers, for keeping these teachings active and applicable. As much as I've listened to Heiser, I had missed the Colossians 1&2 connection to spiritual warfare. Gotta go look at that again.

Here we have N.T. Wright sounding much like Heiser. Well, that's what Heiser was saying all along.." nothing I am saying is new." All of this stuff tells me that we may be moving towards a deeper understanding of foundational things, the sort of topics that Heiser said were only given an hour in seminary. We' ll have to be careful. Once this stuff is more popular, we will no doubt see some really horrid versions of it.
This was a great teaching RTB. This message brings to mind the evil underlying of Calvinism. God sent His Son to only redeem a handful of special favored elect? Not all can be saved? Our Heavenly Father sent our Redeemer to say "It is finished... for only an elect few? All others are vessels made for destruction & He gets glory by saving some & damning most? That's not the message of scripture. Jesus taking away the sting of death for everyone who will & CAN call upon Jesus for salvation. It (Calvinism) has permiated the body of Christ.

Baptismal-Regeneration. Besides receiving Jesus you must keep the Sabbath & eat Kosher....all those still teach Jesus came to save all. Quote from JMac "Is God unfair in not chosing to save everyone? According to Peter and Jude( and the book of Enoch) the watchers/rebellious Elohim of Genesis six were imprisoned the Elohim/gods of the nations were most likely drawn from the divine council which is a large sub category also known as host of heaven. God has an endless supply of spiritual and human servants and rebels. That’s the problem with giving everyone the dignity of choice and free will. The point of the gospel is God redeeming all of his servants from the effects of the rebels and rebellions both human and spiritual to provide a new creation free from the effects of the rebels and rebellions. The end is the beginning and I am praying for Jesus to come soon!

It is simply beyond the pale, that those chosen from the Divine Council also have failed so utterly and miserably and brought so much evil upon the earth. Do you suppose, as I do myself, that God is literally demonstrating his greatness to not just us, but perhaps even more so to his heavenly sons?
M. Heiser mentioned towards the end of the video that the Most High God, who divided the nations and gave authorities to the gods, became man (referring to Jesus Christ). Dr Heiser seem to allude that the MH God, the Creator = Jesus Christ himself? But in John 1:18, 1 John 4:9 spoke about 2 persons, God the father and God the son? Pls send light on this?? Thank you.
It's the trinity and beyond explanation. The same way a scientist or mathematician is thrilled with the complexity of an equation we are to be equally thrilled that this super divine being revealed in three persons is beyond our full understanding...
I'm a spiritual rebel. A rebel in any matrix. So far, I relate only to God. We are on a no name basis because there is no one else. I'm not under God's orders. I have my own will and purpose, but I am under God's law. I find what I find and I improvise. God allows me the freedom. I think it's a pity that others don't relate to God. But it is their choice. As I am, I don't fit in any of the stories or hierarchies of Heaven or Earth. I'm a consciously free agent. So, I look like a rebel to every order. Unless the kingdom of heaven has arrived on the Earth. The only kingdom against which there is no reason to rebel.
But what about your sin? How do you atone for it? If God is holy and just to others as well as you. Then he is just to punish you. Why should your crime against me not be repaid for my redemption as well as yours??? With Jesus precious blood, we are both redeemed. Without God dying for us. We would both have to die to be just. God knew that we couldn't do it and when we stood before him we would all miss.
