Inauguration of MAULA in THAPREK!

Under the Thaprek Toll Development Project, the foundation stone program was completed on 29 February, 2079 under the chairmanship of Subedar Major Navraj Gurung. Around 1831, there was a practice of Maula Puja in Thaprek. Maula means during the time of the king, the practice of checking the weapons kept in the coat and sacrificing animals to say good luck. With the advent of multi-party system in the country, this tradition gradually disappeared, today this festival is being revived in the village after a gap of years.
