Hello @Claude Joseph @Min Hawi @Mogendi the dreamer. I’m watching the house build, congratulations. However I feel you are making a mistake with that wall to the kitchen. A narrow island at table height would be much more usable and would take up less space. An island would allow the use of regular kitchen chairs. Cabinets could be installed on the kitchen side making it even more useful. This configuration is also more useful for children. I hope you give this consideration and make the change.

The standard bar height is 41"-44" and the bar stools, are 29"-32"

I think that you should have made the kitchen and living room open completely no island that’s the new way the modern way, it will create more space it’ll look more spacious, and the dining table can be closer and it will be nice……
Large islands are a staple in new open kitchens. It allows for seating and storage. It’s not much different than a table, just more in keeping in an open design. The island will take up less space than a table.
I noticed you guys don’t use steel in the walls of your building constructions
