Thank You Sir Thank you for taking me along. I can not do that any more. And I really enjoy going along with you. All I see are the four walls and a ceiling. I am crippled. I use to scrape too. Bruce Lee
That orange air pump is for a bouncy castle mate :) they make a decent (if not a bit too powerfull) extractor fan, i picked up the exact same one a year or so back.
Lucky bugger I have been hoping to bump into an N64 for sometime now great find. Keep up the great videos Ben watching you got me back into scrapping again!
Hey BEn! You could with some effort drag each TV into your van and gut it out inthere - and drop the remains back out of the van... as long as the van is still not full ...
Yeah good idea, next week i'm gonna do a big tv scrap out there so i'll give it a go, might look better when people are walking past and give me a high bench instead of bending over on the ground..
Thought i'd spend my lunch break watching Ben. I am grateful you didn't open those 5 little hazardous waste bins(i could have hurled),sometimes curiosity is best left by just looking at the lid. "Sensory Overload" that was the term i was thinking of and i do get plenty of that as well. Towards the end of summer, i will have a garage sale, mostly selling what i found on the street curbs. Some of the stuff i find in working order is wild beyond expectations . G'day Ben.
Hey Mate: This video is just sharp, what I mean the colors just show up striking. You do a great job of filming. Keep up the good work , it's fun coming along with you. Ron B Michigan
I love it when you get to a pile and say in that unsure vioice, 'I don't want that", then a second later you say "I'll take it"!!!😂 I'm the same way, you know if it's something you'd normally pick-up you end up getting it. My way is I'll pick something from the pile drive a couple of houses down then back up to get what I said I was not going to get. We don't have olive barrels around here, but I've run across on many occasions someone who just bought a huge 96 gallon trash can/wheel bin and sitting inside is the container that they had before a 45 gallon container I get alot, some with wheels some without. That's one of the most used item I have. In less than 2 years I've pickup at least 20 all but 1 is being used. I'd love it if we had olive barrels here. They'd be even more useful!!! GREAT PART ONE!! LOOKING FORWARD TO PART TWO!!! 👍👍 (again 😉)
The cans will still be ok to eat for some years after the date written you know ^^ Might make someone's day ^^ Nice pick up ! I wish I could do this in France but it's not possible anymore. Sad ...
Last week at work I peered into a dumpster and there was a big ol' crt tv in it... (also an entire lawn mower -- what are people thinking?)...anyway, I knew I wouldn't be able to recover it, and it irritated me that I was missing out.. But lo and behold, on the way home from work, there were 3 crt tvs left out, not giant ones, but I got them! There was other good stuff, too, but my vehicle couldn't accommodate them.
There's as many types of Pickers & Scrappers as there are types of things people throw away. I even know a guy that'll occasionally stop & grab tossed out piles of potted plants & stuff to throw in his composted for his landscape side business.
Great vid, thanks for sharing! If you walked up to a pile with a bucket to load misc little stuff, you'd save a ton of time walking back and forth to the van! ;) As far as the N64, you could stop at a used video game shop on your way home and put a quick $50 in your pocket.
They're much like a transformer, they have a copper winding inside but not worth breaking open, old one's have pcb's which are dangerous for humans, even new one's that say no pcb's could have it, not worth the risk or time, best to just sell as transformers
Here electric motors sell for less than scrap steel, which doesn't make sense, since they are composed of both copper and steel. How much do they sell for there?
Hey Ben I've been watching your videos a lot lately and was wondering wouldnt it be better money to get fans because of the motors instead of scrap steel?
Hi Ben theres a scrapper now here in brisbane just smashes a hole in back of tv cover then smashes yolk off then gone takes nothing else and leaves a great mess behind not a good look for the rest of us who try to do the right thing.
Yeah there used to be guys that did that here, the back covers are tuff so they must give them a decent whack! It's probably a good thing crt tv's are almost gone.
Nintendo 64 is actually becoming more and more valuable as time goes on. It's already worth a fair bit. And you got a few classic games with it. If you had 007 goldeneye you could probably sell it for around 200+ on ebay. At minimum.
I picked up a 1985 nintendo NES last week, went straight into my eldest sons vintage collection LOL Made me feel dam old that my first games consol is now a collectors item :(
It's pretty easy to rebuild a laptop battery using recoverd cells from other lap tops, i must have 100 odd good 18650s now, i rarely see more than 1 or 2 dead cells in a laptop battery, on the odd occasion all are dead then it's usually the BMS that was at fault. What happens is 1 cell will drop below the safety level (usually 2.5V) and the BMS will shut off leaving you with an apparently dead battery but 90% of the time when you open the battery up it's just the odd cell that's low or sometimes 2 or 3 if the battery is made up of banks of 2 or 3, sometimes you can just charge the low cell/s and pop them back in the battery and your all set but sometimes the BMS will not reset, then you need a new battery :( I have a few satellite laptops from the late 90's to the early 10s, my earlyest laptop is a late 80s one that weights about 10Kgs !
Thanks for the reply. Do these vintage laptops just look nice on a shelf, or do you use them for old software, or what? Just curious. My collectible of choice is film cameras, so I am not in a position to judge :)
film camers :) i just picked up a canon EOS 500n SLR literaly 20 mins ago :) for me i do use an old sat pro daily but the rest pretty much sit on a shelf but not before i make sure they work and or upgrade the ram ect, no idea why i have allways been a pc man never was a fan of laptops but it was scrapping that got me into them! i picked up a brand new 2011 pro (ex display model), no hard drive ect) and i rebuilt it to use and sort of got hooked when i picked up a Satellite Pro 400CS (circa 1995) and loved the progress between the 2 then colected ones in between, i don't collect laptops as such just sat pros, funny what takes your fancy!
This one definitely isn't very collectible. Maybe worth 20€ if you're lucky, especially one that's incomplete or may not even work. A working one went on eBay for about 5$us last week.
Boat gas tank - if you have a boat all way good to carry 2nd tank - Bitch running out of gas when on the river or lake Learned the hard way fishing on a river.

Gotta be better than a Nintendo 32 😅😂 love it
I know this is an old video, but I've been binge watch Ben
10:08 - That hair shadow! LOL

Thank You Sir
Thank you for taking me along. I can not do that any more. And I really enjoy going along with you. All I see are the four walls and a ceiling. I am crippled. I use to scrape too.

After watching Mike The Scavenger it’s strange seeing you leave so much on the table.
I suppose everyone fights their battles a different way

Best regards from Germany.
I love how you call the other people "Cordcutters" as you're cutting cords LOL

That orange air pump is for a bouncy castle mate :) they make a decent (if not a bit too powerfull) extractor fan, i picked up the exact same one a year or so back.
makes sense, thanks!
Awesome finds! I enjoy doing the same, looking and searching in the piles!
Lucky bugger I have been hoping to bump into an N64 for sometime now great find. Keep up the great videos Ben watching you got me back into scrapping again!

Hey Mate: This video is just sharp, what I mean the colors just show up striking. You do a great job of filming. Keep up the good work , it's fun coming along with you. Ron B Michigan
Man this would be crazy if the usa did this. Do you guys have this all the time or certain days I think the USA,could definitely learn from this.
I love this guy. He gets excited about the "piles" just as I do. Keep up the great work Ben!
Lotta brass on this trip.

Marko from Germany

Someone had to do it ! Lol!!

I like your scrapping metal
Well you FINALLY have good wire cutters
Did you know that in front loading washing machines there is a motor with lots of copper? It’s also relatively easy to remove.
Looks like someone did what I used to do. Take tv's home, scrap them out that night, then return the leftovers to a yard the next day.
Yeah i'd like to do more but at the moment i'm overloaded, but next week I think i'll go on a crt tv rampage and fill up
Last week at work I peered into a dumpster and there was a big ol' crt tv in it...
The band stuff is likely worth more than the metal it's made out of. Do some research before just scrapping it all out.
Hey scrappers ;)
Freeisbetter86 your channel is taken off! 100 Subs a day
Im so stoked ;) we couldn't of done it without you :)
There's as many types of Pickers & Scrappers as there are types of things people throw away. I even know a guy that'll occasionally stop & grab tossed out piles of potted plants & stuff to throw in his composted for his landscape side business.
That Hot Rod Would Have Sold for Big Bucks in the States . Also those Symbols Can Bring Good Money , A Great Score For Sure .
yeah true, it's just like the guys on american pickers like it, rough & rusty
Another great video cheers Ben
I need the video of what u do with all of this stuff lol
Nice
Why don't you leave one of the blue barrels in the van for just the cords??? It would make emptying the van easier.
Great vid, thanks for sharing! If you walked up to a pile with a bucket to load misc little stuff, you'd save a ton of time walking back and forth to the van! ;) As far as the N64, you could stop at a used video game shop on your way home and put a quick $50 in your pocket.
Nice find the Nintendo 64
Waiting patiently for. Part.Two ....

They're much like a transformer, they have a copper winding inside but not worth breaking open, old one's have pcb's which are dangerous for humans, even new one's that say no pcb's could have it, not worth the risk or time, best to just sell as transformers
Fresh new SCRAP TO CARVE.
Hands full because YOU LEFT THE BOX
👍
Here electric motors sell for less than scrap steel, which doesn't make sense, since they are composed of both copper and steel. How much do they sell for there?
62c kg,, so about US 25c lb
We get 6 cents for electric motors. Steel is 8.5 cents. I'm envious.
Hey Ben I've been watching your videos a lot lately and was wondering wouldnt it be better money to get fans because of the motors instead of scrap steel?
Ben you have to fix your left side mirror on the van.
you left them new castor wheels. these cost money mate
I noticed you didn't bother with some pots and pans. Most are stainless and aluminum, how come. Just curious.
Mostly into electronics, it's just how I feel on the day but at the moment I have too much stuff to process
@@eWasteBen it's amazing to see how much stuff you find, my neighborhood scrap isn't as plentiful as yours..
Hey Ben.how come you seem to pass up aluminium and stainless cookware?
just no room for everything at the moment
I’m not into resale’s but N64 is good and anything Mario and Pokémon sell. Or hook it up and have fun with it.
After you have the metal
Nintendo 64 is actually becoming more and more valuable as time goes on. It's already worth a fair bit. And you got a few classic games with it. If you had 007 goldeneye you could probably sell it for around 200+ on ebay. At minimum.

In the US you need to pick up anything you can to make any money street scrapping
The Nintendo and Mario and stadium was worth more than your entire day-
Hole mackerel
Air blower for inflating a jumping castle
Collectible Pentium 3 laptops? I didn't know this was a thing. Seems like a laptop of that vintage would not likely have a working battery.

That Dell was a PC!😂
We're la those ser places
Some cymbals are worth a lot. Check them on eBay you might get good cash out of them like Zildjan
Most canned fish get better with age, expiration date on them is pointless as long as the cans are not damaged.
true but it all depends on storage, no-one knows if the boxes were sitting out in the sun for months
why not put it in van scrap it out then put it back out
Yep doing that next week, thought you'd say, why not take the backs of tv's home and grow spuds in them :)
lol not food grade plastic :D
I'm not gonna lie sometimes when I watch your videos I think WHY DIDN'T HE TAKE THAT... But I know what you're saying!
Hey Ben,
Just curious if you have a regular job and do this as a hobby or this is your main source of income?
multi aspects of e-waste recycling is the core, street scrapping is just one of the fun parts of it, a hobby that makes money I guess
120 bucks, maybe more in that nintendo 64 score
yeah I love gaming consoles, the N64 looks mean, scored another game console in part 2 of the video
