Dope beat. People don't know about the 202. Yeah the EFX are fire but the limitations make you create Epic stuff. I mess with the lofi1 sample rate personally. 2:43 seconds of sample time.
@@TommyVamoz The 202 definitely brings that 🔥when it comes to drum samples. Such a great little box. Same goes for the 303, except it’s infinitely more capable of actually banging out full beats and proper sequencing. Still though, it doesn’t bring *quite* the same heat in the effects department.
@@TommyVamoz cool. But when I loop drums then piano , once you adjust pitch of one thing (drums) all things (piano) get pitched same - it's a pain. Each button should have its own pitch but sadly it's a master pitch phrase sampler.

So, I just followed along and put this same beat together for practice. Since you can't time stretch or even independently alter timing per pad via pitch on the SP202, did you spend some serious time digging for this pair of samples, or did you randomly pick these samples and they just HAPPENED to play in time together? Either way, I commend you for getting this sample chopped at the points you did on the 202 - I did it in Ableton and had to really massage my start and end points to match yours, as my ear naturally drifted to chop more on the beat of the original song. Next, I'm going to try this on my SP404sx, to see what you really went through (although I won't have that lovely pitch control)!
Yooo thanks for watching and practice the beat! I didnt spend hours for digging the samples to match. I think its the digging experience for over 20 years? So for this video it was random picked. The chopping points on the 202 are just by ear and are far from perfect but i gues that makes it more organic sounding. And yes that pitch control is super sweet! Cheers!

I used the pitch control on the 202 so all sounds are getting pitched. No pre pitching. Peace!

I got a sp 202 but the line in doesn't work, I tried sampling through the mic in using a cable but it sounds like $hit
