From Executive Producer Salma Hayek, this is the story of Eva Perón after her death. The embalmed body of “Evita” had an eventful journey that lasted for 22 years, and was every bit as eventful as her 33 years of life. Evita died in 1952, but her corpse waited above ground for three years for the construction of a monument that was ultimately never built. In 1955, President Perón’s government was overthrown by a military coup, who hid the body for 19 years to prevent it from becoming a symbol against the regime. While only a political figure for six years as General Perón's wife, her corpse influenced Argentine politics for more than two decades - weaving a morbidly strange story that passed into the realm of mythology. To the military officers that took over, Evita was even more dangerous than when she was alive, as all feared that errant corpse without a resting place.

Nothing to do the musical Evita with the true history of the First Lady of muy country. The musical is full of fakes, perhaps it was written on the advice of Argentine oligarchs whom Evita hated. I know that the writers of the musical's text lived in the most expensive neighborhood of Buenos Aires in the 70s and were in contact with that kind of rich people just to create the story of the musical. Of course most of the Argentine people do not agree with that way of treating our history in that musical, anyway Lloyd Webber's music was wonderful.

La única que interpreto de manera correcta a Eva fue Esther Goris. Elegir a Madonna o a la Oreiro para interpretarla demuestra que no hay una elección a conciencia, comenzando porque ninguna de las dos es argentina(condición necesaria para sentir el rol de alguien que ama sus raíces) venden musicales y fantochadas para acaparar a las masas que aplauden con vendas en los ojos. @@belmen17 Esther goris es una gran actriz e hiso una gran actuacion en su pelicula de evita, pero no le hiso una interpretacion fiel, todos los proyectos que se hicieron aca en argentina sobre evita son historias que se modificaron y retorcieron para tener un buen recibimiento del publico, dejando a eva como una maria teresa de calcuta, asi que ironicamente la interpretacion mas fiel la hiso madonna, ya que pudo mostrar su lado malo, como tenia ideales peligrosos y decisiones malas que llevaron a argentina a la ruina. La nacionalidad de la actriz no importa, lo importante es que haga una buena actuacion y se ve que no sabes nada sobre como actuar, natalia oreiro siempre la rompio con sus papeles, ademas no es la unica actriz extrangera en el pais, ahi tenes a la genia china zorilla, que a pesar de ser uruguaya hiso su debut en el cine argentino.
