Just suspend your disbelief for a moment, imagine yourself at the front row of this event, you're pumping your first in the air screaming at the top of your lungs along with thousands of other souls in there with you, the pyro and music explode engulfing your ears and you are witnessing a real battle between the awesome forces of a demon and an angel, the Tekken cast is real and you're right in the midst of it all. Pure bliss.

+JAZZ and FUNK equals JUNK?? This game is pretty good and it has all the old characters in it( except gon).I recommend playing Fight lab first if you start playing this game.
Kunimitsu has a daughter in Tekken 7, who is conveniently also named Kunimitsu. The only difference between the mother and daughter daughter is that the younger Kunimitsu is not afraid to take off her mask.

I still find it hard to find out how the hell were these prerendered cutscenes from old games looked so good, from the lighting, the animation, to the models, they just looked so great, it just feels so detailed. It is specifically in this era of graphics were it was the standard for graphics. But then, with today, even with graphics being far greater than it was back then, I feel like I havent seen a pre rendered as detailed as those back then i think? If someone out there is like a huge nerd in technology and graphics of that era, please feel free to enlighten me
I think for budget reasons and consistency games will now often use the in-game models for the cinematics, just clean up the image quality a lot if it's pre-rendered vs real time. Back when in-engine stuff was too primitive to use they probably ordered CGI from an outside animation studio, send over storyboards. Square-Enix made their own internal animation studio, formerly called Visual Works, to make intro movies for all their games and sometimes full length movies. I don't know about Namco.

I really loved this intro when it had first came out it had blew me away now I get how many people didn't like the game or did like the game as I did and it did piss off a lot of people at some points rather for pettiness or just overall maddening madness, I know because it did for me too but I still played the game because I was just that kind of fighter ready to get back up and do it again but better than before.
10 years later and this opening cinematic still looks way better than anything Tekken 7's cutscenes/cinematics offer. I wish the cinematics also translated to the endings...cuz...dear god they looked awful in Tag 2 lol. Everywhere else however...the high budget was evident. This game still has the best rendering of any Tekken character. The models looked great, and have way more personality to them. I can't say this about Tekken 7. Tekken 6 also had great character model's, but Tag 2 is the king.
This intro really inspired me to start my journey to reach the top with all the other pros. Gather at the main arena with all the greatest warriors across the globe and make the best show i can for the spectators like all the other pros. TO THE KING OF IRON FIST TOURNAMENT TEKKEN 8 IM COMING BABY
