I understand the underwhelming chorus thing because I feel like empty choruses are very overused at this point and for a group like Everglow where each member shines with their charisma, something different can be done. But EDM is kinda Everglow's signature at this point so I don't really dislike it. Definitely will be listening for the rest of the song tho especially for Sihyeon's heavenly vocals in the bridge. I also wonder, it seem like you are interested in them since you can recognize Mia and know that Yiren was gone for a while. You also like many of their music. I think it's time to see Everglow regularly on this channel like their bsides because their music is very diverse and there is a lot to discover and discuss. I'd like to see you react to Nighty Night and Company since you like SM-ish music style.

Idk what to feel after watching this one tbh. I am absoutely speechless rn. This has to be the one of the best mvs i have ever seen in kpop. One of the best buildups and drops. They were gone for 1 year and they came back with a BANGER like this!?!?!? They know how to come in HOT for sure. One thing to note is that the girl with the short hair named Mia was forced to cut her hair by the company but she didn't want too. At first i didn't like it as well, but when the mv dropped and i saw her in short hair, i liked it. EVERGLOW FOREVER LETS GO. ❤👏👏👏
4:35 I got the exact same reaction after my first listening and now I'm obsessed with the song as a whole. It's definitely a HUGE grower, even as a fan I did not expect it to grow on me this much. I totally get the first unimpressed feeling. But it goes away especially if you watch their stages, you can feel how epic the song is.
I'm so happy that Everglow finally made a comeback! I agree on liking the song, not disliking it but also not loving it. The chorus did feel slightly underwhelming and maybe empty, but the simplicity of the lyrics and the catchy tune is very much an everglow formula. The girls are always so talented as usual, and their presence sold the song to make it more enjoyable. Proud to be a forever, but FIRST stays as my top title track from them :)

i totally agree with u, it's like this sounds more of a common KPOP sound, the part that kinda got me off is the part in the chorus with the "SLAY SLAY SLAY" thing, maybe because it's kinda overused in the song maybe if they just put it right before the bridge or in the last chorus I guess it'll be better, but yeah I STILL LOVE EVERGLOW, this doesn't make them less, they have such a lot of bangers, maybe i just missed them so much that i expected a lot with their coming songs/comeback after a long time, they almost been gone for a year and a half, still love EVERGLOW!!!
I know you guys are used to an EVERGLOW with strong music, but the time they came back to Slay this time, looking at the logo, it was already spinning 1 round, back to like Bon bon chocolat, so this time the color of the music I see is similar to Bon bon chocolat, gentle but still a little wavy in it. I guess their next comeback will explode like Adios, for me Slay is not bad, this is my 3rd favorite of EVERGLOW after First and Pirate, chorus and bridge chorus, also rap by Aisha, Mia and E:u after the chorus too, everything is great.
