Here's something I love about this channel: following the less-travelled roads and bringing new traditions and styles even for seasoned wine enthusiasts such as myself.
My local wine store couldn’t get any Beaujolais Nouveau for this year and also told me he has seen a decline in sale of it. In the US, the fourth Thursday in November is our Thanksgiving making it a great Thanksgiving wine. Our traditional food for the holiday is turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans, pumpkin pie, pecan pie and lot of other stuff.
Your local wine store is completely right, I have also seen a decline in sales of Beaujolais Nouveau wines. I think people are looking into other wine styles and possibly wines of higher quality not only for their Thanksgiving dinners, but in everyday consumption as well. 🤷♀️😉
Great video and awesome geeky wine info. 😁. I’m a fan of Villages level. This is a fun fresh style. Not every thing to drink has to be a first growth or a DRC.
OMG, Yes! Finally someone said that. Not everyone can afford these wines as well, even if they find the bottles. And it is nice to enjoy a good quality wine, but for me it is all about looking for value! 💥💯 Cheers and thank You! ✨🍾🥂
Well, it is what it is! 🤷♀️ As other comments said, it is not the style for everyone. And the bottom line is that, if You don’t enjoy it, You should not drink it (it is alcohol after all 😉) and it should bring joy and pleasure. Cheers to other great wines! P.S. If You do want to give a Beaujolais another try -> their cru wines are great. For example Morgon and Fleury? It won’t say Beaujolais on the label though. 😉
I had it for the first time last year and y’all where right about the wine. Such an odd wine to drink. People say it’s great to pair with thanksgiving food, I’ll be having Madeira instead.
I don’t know what is the traditional thanksgiving food, but I think it is because -> marketing.. as Beaujolais Nouveau is released right before thanksgiving. 🤷♀️ I read somewhere that it is a great pairing for French Onion soup. But for me it is odd to add to pair hot liquid with cold liquid. 🙈
Please let me know “how”! I try my best, but French really isn’t my language (You can definitely sense it 🤦♀️). I should travel to France and just listen how to pronounce the words. 🫣

Thanks for the informative video, I think I will give some Beaujolais 2022 a try in a few days

Le 2023 est vraiment parfait cette année 🍷👍
Perfect timing! I'm waiting the first shipment to Dallas TX USA in a couple of weeks
So I was hoping! One day left! 🤞
My local wine store just got in some! Scooped a few bottles to crack right away! Honestly very similar to not-nouvaeu but I like both 🎉🎉
I hope You enjoy them! Cheers! 🥂🍾✨

@@NoSediment Thanks... any producers i should look for? cheers!
The two or three I tried reminded me of... herbal mushroom cola, with a teeny tiny bit of light red fruits. ( but mostly mushroom cola 👀🤨)

Interesting, all my Gamay I have tried (Villages and Nouveau) have been very green apple and raspberry!
Love her accent. Where is she from? Former soviet state? Thanks for the video❤
Thank You. 🥂🍾✨ I am Latvia, Riga, and yes we used to be under the Soviet regime. :(
I think Beaujolais has Banan and candy apple Character
Correct me if I am wrong
It makes sense, totally. It shows very distinct aroma characteristics! 🍷✨
Bojo YES… Bojo Novo - I’ll pass 😂… People love it though

I guess, the lower acidity and soft tannins work well, and their quite expressive nose as well? 🍷

In Europe, I would drink it with friends and roasted chestnuts… I’ll still take Cru Bojo instead 😂🤣🤣
sounds like you're saying noir, nice video
I am sorry, my French is not my strongest suit, as You might noticed already. 🙈 I try my best to say Nouveau. 😬 Thank You for the comment! 🥂 Cheers!
Please pronounce nouveau properly😊

@@NoSediment Try saying "New-vo" exactly how it sounds ! I am English living in Montreal!
It's nouveau not noir
Have You seen my other video? The Halloween special? Make sure You watch it and thank You for the correction’ 🙏🏻
