I have a couple of questions here. In the learning curve of GPS tech there were trucks being directed under too low bridges, random accidents caused by reliance on the tech. Go back to the birth of a search engine or Wikipedia and its only as good as the information that is input. The safety of info checking for remote or unsure waters is a great feature amongst many. The one thing that cannot be computed is human error, inexperience or ego. Plotting the course is great but does it compute to match the capacity of the vessel? Will the tech stall command of the course if unsafe? Many a captain has pushed through weather when the logic said not to. As captains, how much autonomy would you cede?

How about Unity as a boat name. Short, easy to understand in lots of languages, and has a sense of pride. Another few I was thinking about is, Majesty, as well as Luna.

"Cutting Edge" or any name emulating the high tech Furuno sailing experience. There are several terms/names along the line of showing / advertising how high tech your boat is. Take some time and come up with you're own tailored name that expresses your "top of the line" tech/amenities.

Can't believe I missed the live premiere for a friend's birthday picnic. Really need to reassess my priorities...Two things among all that dazzling functionality that stood out; the rain/fog-penetrating radar & the crowd-sourcing/PBG chart updating. Both obviously huge for safety as coastal areas, especially, become ever more heavily traveled by craft with command crew of varying abilities & experience.
Interested to know how much will be available on your vid screens throughout the boat, too. Clients will be fascinated but you'll soon get sick of them peering over your shoulder in the pilothouse.

Amazing kit, every question that popped up in my mind was almost instantaneously answered or shortly there after. One addition I would like is a voice controlled 'How do I" so if you have forgotten how to do something you can simply utter a question and a short video would play with a how to do it. As you have multiple screens you can have one ready for this as there is such a vast amount of possibilities on this system, and as your going to be using a lot of them from the charter prospective with not only your craft but the tender and guests needs especially at the start of your venture.

My pleasure, with AI and the advent of voice control today and the sheer complexity and knowing that it can take ages to absorb and all the information that is at hand takes ages to log it all in our brains, I know as I use a plethora of software and even updates can be tricky to get your head round them. If noisy maybe a 'How do I' button just in case and a list. But voice activation and help could speed things up.@@FurunoMarineElectronics

I still try to figure out what rules apply when you are single handed on open sea like an ocean and you've got to rest.
Is there a function which allows you to set off an audible alarm if there is an traffic alert which is not clearing itself for a certain period of time, so you can get up and take actions?
But overall a incredible technology and so easy to use. Learned alot within this Furuno series.

Fascinating information in this series of episodes!
A question popped in my mind while I was seeing the part about the sonar transducers. Great tech, but 'loud'..
What is known about the effects (if any) on marine life from the sounding, 'noisy' vessels that spread out in all seas?
Not to say of course that sonar tech is bad, but more on the line of thinking of 'be as good for the seas while at sea'.

Furuno - broadcasting tomorrow's dreams on to the "screens" of today - Safely and Accurately.
When Arthur C. Clark said -
“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic” he must have been thinking of Furuno...
Thank you ALL for this peek behind boating's A.I. curtain!

Hello, I love your tours of the boats, you learn a lot about the subject and you enjoy it, so one thing that I want and that I have noticed that the vast majority of boats do not have, is that I would like a flat bridge on the boats They had their own independent bathroom on that floor, I say this because if they are ultimately going to afford such a luxury, why not do it? It's just a suggestion, I say.

Victoria, you should see if they can put a mirror software in there for you to do your make up while you’re on the bridge. You know last-minute touchup if you want to do that.

This was by all means one of the best videos that I have seen. you are great Victoria, a great combination of eye candy and brains. you will definitely be the first to operate all that technical equipment on your new boat, now all you will need is to learn how to anchor it, lol.

I was just referring to what you said when you were shown the anchor system on a Bering and you had said that someone will have to show you how to us the system because you never used anything like it, understandably because it is new to you
