      @@badhero88 : Syria intervened in Lebanon's and Israel's affairs, for decades, by supplying Hezbollah and Hamas with arms. So Syria has reaped the harvest that it sowed the seeds for.

      All Assad had to do was meet with the rebels at the negotiation table and share power with them ie Assad has his throne but the rebels have parliament. The English did this centuries ago. It was called the Manga Carta.

    putin had little choice other than to accept assad on humanitarian grounds after spending soo much time, effort & lives protecting him. And no doubt putin is currently focused on assads money which shouldn't take long to aquire, which will go into his war efforts.
    Still odd to hear russians using words like Humanitarian etc esspecially as thousands of russians have died under the reign of there Tyrant.

    According to the Turkish FM, both Russia and Iran were briefed on the gravity of the situation and need to avoid bloodshed by giving up. The next day the two countries agreed and Assad left. Reportedly, there was no meeting between Putin and Assad after his arrival to Moscow.

    Assad may not have been a decent guy, but he did a decent last thing.
    He decided to walk away and that decision saved tens of thousands of lives,
    So....Syrians out to keep peace and let go of "assadism" and embark in building a new Syiria

    • @Nathaniel-j7x
      @Nathaniel-j7x Час назад +4

      He fled because he had no fight left in him, all his allies are engaged in their own wars elsewhere. Russia weren't willing to finance a pro-Assad offensive even with men in the ground, Iran is busy with Israel while Hesbollah is engaged with Israel as well. He is a lucky man, he would have been fed to snakes if he deluded himself that he could fight off the coalitions of revolutionaries. Nothing decent about fleeing "to save lives" when you have actually ended around a million human lives like dogs.

      Israel could have pummeled Assad's military ages ago had they wanted. Assad wasn't protecting Syria from Israel; Israel simply did not see Assad as a threat. As far as Israel was concerned, Assad was only a danger to his people, not to them. Israel fears the rebels far more than they ever feared Assad.
