  • Hey everyone!
Here’s a new project I’ve been working on!!
Music has always inspired me , and recently I’ve been listening exclusive to Christian music, I find it really helps my walk in my faith.
This look is inspired by “Burn the Ships” by For King and Country. I love this song. I feel it perfectly illustrated our new lives in Christ, and letting go of the past to move forward in the light.
I always try to find verses that work along side the musical inspiration, especially if it’s not a hymn song.
This is part four, making the lampreys. I always incorporate some sort of animal metaphor, and this one is a Sea Lamprey. Lampreys have oral disks (suckers) in place of their mouths. The mouth has a fringed edge and contains a lot of small teeth arranged in concentric rows. They use them to latch onto prey and rasp away flesh and gains blood using it’s rough tongue.
I see this symbolizing how sin rips away at our lives.
This project is long and the overall idea contains three looks, this is the first look; „ The Shipwrecked Soul“.
„To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires.
And to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.“
    Ephesians 4:22-25
    Thanks for watching
