- On Wednesday, Johnny Depp continued his testimony in the defamation trial.
Actor Johnny Depp is suing ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation in connection with Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed, although Heard’s article did not specifically name Depp. Amber Heard is counter-suing Depp for $100 million.

Remember Amber, you wanted this. Johnny gave you an easy out and offered to handle this privately but you just had to drag his name through the mud and show too much aggressiveness towards Pre/post nuptials and too much eagerness toward living wills. Now it’s the Johnny Depp show and he’s getting his point across just beautifully.

Then she decided to drag his name through the mud with that Op-Ed which then forced Johnny’s hand to sue for defamation. That Op-Ed was affecting his name in Hollywood and he decided to fight back. Had she handled the divorce privately, spent that $7M on what she said she would (ACLU and another charity) and not decided to publicly call JD an abuser, this court case would not be taking place.

This man is 100% telling the truth. He has just described the exact manner and methods of a person of that nature during a one-sided argument. When he said pinned to a wall and unable to get out of it and lock yourself in the bathroom that is exactly what happens. Very scary how real what he is describing is for so many people who don’t know how to get out of it.
It’s so weird going back and watching this because I missed it after watching ambers testimony….especially the way she’s just staring at him the whole time almost angrily while he didn’t even look at her once. And just the differences in demeanor between the two on the stand. And how Johnny took blame for some problems and admitted faults while she never really accepted that she did anything wrong. It’s not realistic
Yes. Amber is staring him down but she’s on the other side of the courtroom so Johnny probably isn’t even aware of it. While Amber is testifying Johnny cannot look at her. Amber is directly in front of Johnny while she is testifying. So creepy! Poor Johnny. If someone was lying through their teeth about me like Amber is I don’t know if I would want to look them in the eyes or do what Johnny is doing and never make eye contact. I pray I’m never in this situation.

Also he always makes eye contact to the person he's speaking to, be they his lawyers or AH's lawyers. Amber always looked to the jury when speaking. It's really difficult not to see that as a performance.

As a parent myself if someone told me I was bad parent that statement would 'hit hard'. All parents get that. Especially it comes from someone who lives with you. She is a narcissist and she knows it.

I don't know about most women, but one of the reasons I fell in love with my husband was how he made his son feel like he was always number ONE. I would never find a man attractive who didn't show that his children and family were the most important thing to him. Some parents are bad. My mom was like Johnny's mom. They need to hear they are bad and should be publicly shamed. I see moms yelling at their children for things that are not bad at all they are just acting like children. It's foolish. How are you teaching them anything by demeaning a child in public?! A victim would NEVER be able to look at their abuser in the eyes without having to re-live the trauma. Johnny hasn't even looked into her direction once. NOT ONCE during these past few days and here she is....with her eyes GLUED TO HIM. The way she is giving him a death stare, almost feels like she is trying to intimidate and control him. I Agree. Yesterday I commented that Amber is to Johnny, what his mom, Betty Sue was to his Father. Someone they loved, but cant help. Retreat is the only option. Yet he testified it was hard to leave for various reasons, one being he saw how his fathers departure effected his mom.

Once Betty Sue passed away, I hope he said "I'm done with this crap from anyone, I don't deserve it and I won't allow it." It's a strange feeling, to feel relief AND grief, when an abusive parent passes away. It's natural to feel both, but hard to rationalize.

Definitely a narcissistic sociopath, I had to take breaks watching this, it was making me relieve my last marriage. It's a shame the courts dont officially recognize narcissistic behavior.
Narcissism cannot be fixed. They are sociopaths and have 0 percent empathy. I'm still healing from the narcissist I endured for 2+ years. It's a thing for sure. 12 step programs help us have self love.
Amen! DV survivor & Amber is most definitely the abuser in this case! There’s no help for people like her. I wish all survivors could bring their story to the public like this so any future victims would be aware. I’m currently watching my abuser wreak havoc on woman after woman & all I want to do is put a warning label on him so this never happens again. He’s going to end up killing one of them & nobody will do anything about it. At least Amber now comes with a warning label.

@@bereal6590 ohhhh the body cam footages, the testimonies of their therapists, the fact that she doesn't and didn't produce no medical assessment of her "atrocious" injuries. The "I don't want any money from him" and ended up giving nothing... the pictures, the inconsistencies... I am sorry, but so far, her case looks like a Gone girl scenario gone wrong and her credibility is far from being perfect. I am not sure if he will win the case, but as far as her being believed now as a victim, will be extremely hard. Plus, getting help from Eve Barlow who sees herself as part of the legal team and do things that are completely forbidden in court, in front of cameras, doesn't seem like a bright idea.... But I guess we'll have to wait and see.
She doesn't have a defense. All of her stories are inconsistent. She lied about everything she accused himof. Where's the medical proof from a doctor when JD "supposedly beat her" or "threw her onto a table of a glass and shards were in her back". Where's the medical documentation? JD had his. So, where's hers? That's my point, to name a few. She's grasping at straws at this point

I was never really a fan of Mr. Depp, however after these testimonials of his during this trial and learning his life story . I am a Depp fan now; To have this much integrity & calm in light of his abusive upbringing and later in life the onslaught of Miss Heard. I take a look at myself and know i can learn much from his taking the high road and having a cool level head in the face of extreme adversity.

As a person with BPD, his description of the circular nature of his arguments is something I've seen my past partners struggle with before I got help. It was like I would lose the ability to reason because I was so flooded with emotion. So yes, i absolutely believe Johnny Depp, as somebody who was once an abusive partner who allowed their disorder to control their actions.

This breaks my heart, he is describing word for word what it’s like to fall victim to a malignant narcissist. She put up a fake front and then lowered the boom. The vicious cycle of arguments with people like amber is a futile situation. Best to run away from it because they will twist your trust, use your most private issues against you and make you feel worthless as a human being. This is just beyond ludicrous that she would want to humiliate herself like this but that’s the way they work. Her ego made her think she was right and now karma is delivering on a world wide stage. She will most likely never act again because no one will want her name to be associated with them. She will never change!! Johnny is giving everyone a voice who has been victimized by these types of personalities. This is sociopathic behavior. Her no makeup innocent look the last couple days is not helping her one bit. She may be beautiful but that’s all she has going for her. No soul, no depth, just an ugly heart and that far outweighs outside appearances.

An abuser will make you doubt yourself no matter how strong minded you think you are. Amber knows Johnny's life is his children so she used that as a weapon against him. If one wants to isolate and manipulate the other that's exactly what they will do to make sure he doesn't see them as much because they're doubting themselves. After knowing what he went through himself? That to me is just cruel and cruel to the children too using them as a weapon against their own father. Amber obviously doesn't care about even children's feelings, all she cares about is herself - period!

Also her lawyers when they cross examine him, I'm glad he he just focusing on the people talking to him, the people who need to hear him and the people he trusts and have his best interest in mind.
As someone who has beat addiction, the way he describes withdrawal made me so emotional because he beautifully explained the pain, it’s so true when you take opiates to just feel normal and function, not to get high. That monkey on your back is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy

I've never had to deal with addiction, but I have the utmost admiration for anyone who has dealt with it. I cannot imagine the pain and the difficulty, and the world does not recognize the burden enough.

The way he describes her erratic, histrionic behavior brings me back to my own mother's behavior. My father stayed for the same reasons; that and he knew if they divorced that the courts would award custody of us kids to her as that was the norm in those days. My father said he was afraid for our physical/emotional safety if he wasn't around on a regular basis as she was very abusive. JD's parents dynamic was MY parents dynamic, as was JD's dynamic with Amber Heard. I worked hard not to become my mother in my relationship as I identified signs early on that history was close to repeating itself and my husband did not deserve that kind of treatment. Amber Heard has a need for conflict, violence because that is part of being a malignant narcissist which is a personality disorder. There is no treatment for it as the roots of it go too deep into childhood. The only solution for JD or anyone in a relationship like this is to get out and stay out. Thank GOD he didn't have kids with this woman. He needs prayers, folks-as many as he can get. He needs prayers, healing, and therapy to ensure he doesn't find himself in relationship again with another version of his mother and Amber Heard. Pray for him and his healing.

My stories are long but I dated a Narcissistic Personality Disorder and a Borderline Personality Disorder. It would take a while to explain but reading your message I just want you to know that people do understand. Both of them made me seriously consider self harm and took my El self esteem to negative. These days I actually pray for them and i sincerely pity them. They dont know or understand what love is.

I will wait because that's what I feel we should all be doing so that false accusations do not propagate before due process has been done. The ease with which accusations travel unchecked is the reason this trial is taking place at all. The solution doesn't seem to be to call each other out, as that just makes people dig in and be defensive or aggressive. It seems to me that the solution lies in our culture changing to one that's ok with withholding our judgement. We don't need to have an opinion at all times. Sometimes we just need to wait and listen.
