Had my eye on this one having enjoyed a few episodes of the ridiculous US release (which had some outrageous dialogue) but this one seems to be closer to the original Japanese source material. Here’s everything you need to know! Mark
So in the deep recesses of my memory, there has always been a cartoon that I wasn't sure was real. There was some weird looking kid that did some kind of strange butt dance but I could never recall the name of the show. Thank you for confirming through this video that I'm not insane . 😂😂😂

My friend and I used to laugh so hard at one episode where shin meets a random guy who is trying to catch a fly with a pair of chopsticks, and as he fails, the fly keeps calling him a “pussy.”
Seeing this game gives me a strong desire to play Yo-kai Watch again.
Me too. Have you seeing that they made a “re release “ for the switch in Japan? Hopefully this games sells somewhat good to give then a reason to bring yokai to the switch here

I've never read or watched Shin-chan or played any of the previous games, but this seems very much like a longer, Shin-chan-ised version of Attack of the Friday Monsters (by the same developer) so I'll definitely get it.

I'm a massive Shin Chan fan. Loved watching the cartoon network. Hated the adult swim version. Now I'm not biased but... this is the best game of the year. Possibly even next year. I've known of it's release in Japan some time ago. Thank Fenrir that it's come our way. Just need to get a physical copy from somewhere...

I've only ever seen the American version of Shin Chan, and I absolutely love it. I may not know anything of the original, but I love Japanese culture and have been learning the language for roughly two years now, so there's no way I'm passing this up, even if it's a different version from the Shin Chan I know.
this game is great for language learning btw. highly recommend it. u can change to full japanese in the options and furigana on all the dialogue as well! vocab is pretty simple but there's still unknown words to be found here and there. lots of voice acted dialogue as well
I saw the trailer for this game last year and the comments were all like "This is never getting translated. Shin Chan is dead in the West". Time makes fools of us all! 😅

I finished this game last night - what a wonderful little adventure.
Question though - I never could pass the dentist sign / cross the ditch, and couldn't ride the cable car other than for that one episode… so how do I reach that part of the town?
As far as I'm aware, the only episodes I didn't complete were the Dino battle and Shin Chan becoming the manager of the restaurant (also a bit lost as to how this one is completed).
Any help would be much appreciated!
Hello, you'd need to win the Dino battle (best is during the 1st dino game as its easier than the 2nd dino game). You'd unlock the other side to the volcanic mountain which is really beautiful. I would suggest for all your pocket money to buy the dino snack, which you should try to get the all stats +100 card to have an advantage.
@@juniorbee1564 thanks so much! I managed to work out that this was the case. The only thing I am now unsure about is how to complete Episode 5 - the one where Shinchan becomes the manager of the restaurant (or so it is titled). Any ideas on this one?

Really got this around 3.59 dollar cents converted in Colombia eshop basically just used gold points. Too bad, this was just a bug caused by Nintendo. So the value is really 100/10 for us who get this 99.99% cheaper than the srp.
Pre-ordered. I was hopping it was coming over here. I’m a huge fan of Shin-Chan. Also the price wasn’t to bad, I had a lot of gold coins. So I got it for the preorder discount and about $7 off. 👍🏽👍🏽

The American dub of the anime is amazing. Reminds me of how great Samurai Pizza Cats was.
There is actually more than 1 adaptation in the US. Shin Chan has had a weird confusing history in the US. This game was a complete surprise to me when it was announced for English I wasn't sure what they were gonna do with it lol

i've loved shin-chan since seeing it on adult swim as a kid, and finally got the chance to get my hands on this game! this seems like something kid-me would've been absolutely obsessed with, and i feel like as an adult i'll still get hooked on this 😂
i'm kind of happy the game has a more accurate translation culturally, i do enjoy the dub but the cozy vibe of the OG show is wonderful too

@@SwitchUpYt currently yes. Though this was more prevalent about 10 years ago when I was working at more preschools. In a country with so many rules of manners, they need at least one character that goes in full reverse of all that…and the kids love it.

Very different art style, not my cup of tea but it certainly is unique!
I really enjoy this kind of game that is just walking around for a relaxing time.Even since the ps1 era with boku no natsuyasumy. Some times I do this in games that this is not even the focus like walking around the citys of Yakuza or the Monster hunter maps. So i'm super down for that kind of stuff. But its indeed very niche.
If you like those kind of games, I recommend Attack of the Friday Monsters! for the 3DS. And of course Shenmue.

NO, I had to import mine just for the Japanese subtitles. It only has Spanish, English, German and Portuguese, same for NA and LATAM versions
