I think you could possibly have the best workshop on Tube, especially your bench. I want mine to look that well use one day, the way they should look, not pristine like mine. I know there’s an anvil and plate on the back of an engineer's vice, but I didn’t know you can use the face as well. Another wonderful restoration which to me was perfectly done. I’ve also just looked at the price of drawknives, you saved yourself a bit of money there and in all probability got better quality too.
Thank you! I've had that's work bench for three years now and I love it. It was only $50 to make and is a work horse. I love restoring stuff and agreeing with you, buying things new nowadays is ridiculous and the stuff they make nowadays is terrible quality anyways.
Very nice! I just made wood jaws for my vice that wrap over the metal so I don’t slip and hit it! Nothing more frustrating than sharpening a draw knife or plane and then accidentally nicking the top of the jaws!
Thanks for watching! I would talk I just think it takes up unnecessary parts of the video. If you have suggestions of where I should talk if things are unclear and I might start talking again:) have a great dsy!
Just in intro if nothing else, where you got the tool from, any history to it, why you need it, Cheers Rob Looks like I’ll be in SAN FRAN again sometime this year. Just loved it so..

Love the non-narrated restoration videos where only the machinery sounds are audible. Great job!
Thanks for watching! I like that the sound of the machines too.

Excellence at it's finest. Well done my friend
Nice job, I like the copper ends and the wood you used, I'll be doing the same with my old draw knife, thanks
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video
Great video I learned a lot. I think you need to cut up some old t-shirts for some new shop rags/towels! lol
Another excellent restore 🙂 I was going to ask for electrolysis rust removal but then I saw evaporust 😁
Thanks for watching! And yeah evaporust is incredible stuff, electrolysis does the job too.
You saved a nice draw knife.. Top Marks..I will be glad when your voice comes back.. Peace
Thanks for watching! And I just need to find time to make a build video, when I do I will definitely speak.
Beautiful handles.
Thank you! I really like how the turned out too.
Someday I hope I can be cool enough to do woodworking in a leather jacket. Excellent job.
Haha thanks! Just gets a bit too cold in my workshop and cotton stuff catches on fire.
Nice work on the drawknife. If you pull on an angle, it’ll slice much easier. You’ll also use all the blade do you don’t have to sharpen too soon.😊
Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed the video
Nice shop jacket😂
What glue did you use for the handles please?
Love the video. And you can talk if and when you damn well please.👍
Thanks for watching!
Excellent work, friend.

take care
Rob

Where did you find one for 25 cents? Nice redo.
At a garage sale in a rust grab bag bucket
@@TheRussianWoodworker Nice, good find! I bought one at a flea market for $20.
Real woodworkers don't eat quiche, real woodworkers wear a leather jacket, 🤒
Haha, I was just wearing that jacket because I was freezing even though I'm in California and the weather were having is eat for most
