Thanks for the tips! I’m trying to get mine back after not really doing any acro for around 3 years. Helped immensely and I’m sure I’ll get it back within a couple days because of this video.

Thank you so very much, this is some really great tips. My 12yr daughter really wants to be able to perform aerials in her routines. She is grade 4 in acro B.A.T.D, I’m not sure what the equivalent is for Acrobatic Arts. She has both her front & back walk overs, and can do a one-handed walkover on her right, is working on her left. It’s good to know that she’s not that far off from potentially achieving her goal.

Sounds like your daughter is a hard worker! Keep it up and remember the key to success is building that solid technical foundation :)

@@AcrobaticArts awww☺️ thank you very much, that’s so kind of you. She’s very dedicated and during the holidays she has attended acro workshops with another dance school who study the Acrobatic Arts syllabus.

I want to know why you have them start and end walkovers with their arms in front of them instead of up.

Helps the dancer maintain good posture :)

@@AcrobaticArts I would think starting and finishing with the arms up would be better.
