bro, i am losing every match whenever I go to ap because he is so squishy and there are no initiators...which role do you play? and with which ruin tree?
@@anupamraj3922 I went electrocute for all these, but since then I’ve started going first strike since I’m much better at engaging by now, and AP Amumu is extremely item dependent. He is squishy, but the thing is that if you’re playing his engages well, your opponent can’t fight back. That said your build should be FULL DAMAGE. My go to is boots of mana or lucidity (go mana for the early damage, go lucidity if you know for a fact you don’t need it and since Amumu is 100x stronger when he has ult and flash), infinity orb, Deathcap, and then crown, Mejais Soulstealer, Riftmaker, Liandrys, Morellonomicon, or Trident as I see fit. I usually run gathering storm, coup or giant slayer, and bloodline with sudden impact on the side, but I’m starting to play domination secondary with eyeball collector for fast early game snowballing (since most of my matches end before 18 minutes, especially with the new hex update) with transcendence if you’re running cd boots (you can get three straight qs this way, and the haste is also perfect for your ult). Squishyness should never be a problem between your endless stuns and crown of the shattered queen (a must-have item, don’t get it before orb and Rabadon though. Your defence is offense, kill them before they kill you). Your boot enchant should basically always be protobelt (Q wave- protobelt- ult flash is the true backline destroyer and always catches people off gaurd) or stasis (the usual buy) for early ganks, always change your jg clear direction so that your first gank is bot lane, and if you’re not great with landing qs, then Q the wave and ult or flash ult (ult->flash is a really useful combo that I use all the time) and then use second q on whichever while they’re stunned for the easiest and most consistent double of your life. After you get first item (which should nearly always be infinity orb) the game is free. Once it to the team fight stage of the game, usually your fights will be engage - kill 2-3 of them no counterplay, stasis for cooldowns and backup from even a single teammate, kill the last few or run. Also for the love of god, always go for steals especially if you’re over the wall. You should already be perma-running sweeper since your only real counter is wards that let the enemy hit you first, but seriously, Q over Wall into ult e smite is the freest objective steal strat in the game. Enjoy your free wins, this champ is fun AF. Full AP nunu is still the goat of AP meme junglers in my book, but a good amumu game is **chefs kiss.* And trust me, you’re gonna have a lot of them.
