Sir first what's better putting smb pouder without dissolving in water or dissolving smb in water and the water should be heated ? Second you say the quantity of smb depends of quantity of gold you have so if I should have in water around 120 gr what should be the quantity of smb to use Plzz reply
If you have 120g gold in solution then dissolve 180g SMB powder in water (saturated solution) then add the gold chloride solution to the SMB solution and boil until the gold clumps together and solution becomes transparent
@@OwlTech333 Thank you for your reply I have always dropped with cold solutions and my gold particles have been super fine making it difficult to wash and pour off. I will try your method next time thank you again.
nice drop what was the yeild?? Also after u decant solution do you use ammonia to clean it up and also hcl followed by boiling water flushes to further purify?? Or what do you do use etc??
5.87g Au, no HCl and HNO3 washes in this video, just distilled water. I don't use ammonia in my washes. The full washing procedure after drop or inquartation: 3-5 times boiling for 5 min in distilled water, conc. HCl wash - boiling for 5 min, 3-5 times boiling in DW, conc. HNO3 boiling for 5 min. 3-5 times DW wash for 5 min, drying and melting in new crucible
Do you use the boiling during the drop to reduce the Sulfur Dioxide since you put a lot in it? I know I have never used the boiling during the drop and this is the first time I have seen it with either AR or the standard HCl/Bleach method. Thoughts: Use PLENTY of SMB to ensure proper amount in for complete drop. Excess SMB can cause gold to NOT actually coalesce properly so you heat to boiling to force out the excess Sulfur Dioxide almost immediately after it has done it's job. Am I way off on that?
I have asked a million question's, so I will keep bugging you. Haha. Ok yesterday did smelts with lead. Got 647 gram pyramid's. 336 gram lead in #60 crucible[about gallon size]. Yes lead but a gold tint. Will the lead have grabbed iron also? Just put a piece in AR, the liquid is blue-green color, white cottage cheese on bottom. Stannous positive dark black. I ordered cupels waiting to show up. I figured to rinse with HCl, evap. down then add water, then SmB drop? Idea's, tip's on above? On another note, cons roasted put in ball mill with water and mercury, retorted amalgam. Got grey-gold tint button. Took to a jeweler, he said lead. As far as I know mercury will not amalgamate with lead, correct? Assay report on the ore, say's, Au,Pd,Pt,Rh&Ru. Any of the pgm's are grey in color. So wouldnt that button be those with the gold? Since lead wont amalgamate in?
Good afternoon sir, are you used gold chloride , if yes, how much quantity of gold chloride which is in liquid form in dissolved smb ? Please reply. Thank you.
not much to comment on: SMB dissolved in water is added to a gold chloride solution, then it is brought to boiling until the colour of the liquid clears and the gold settles, boiling in distilled water, drying and melting :)

Hi how can i add the smb to the gold chloride solution and boil both solution ... and in specifications of smb is not requires heating
What was causing the reaction after the drop and what is the trick to make the gold clump up like that.
Thank you.
Boiling during precipitation speeds the processes and boiling in concentrated hcl makes the gold clump up together

@@antoniotrepistole1383 also you need higher gold concentration
What if am using Sodium thiosulphate instead of SMBS? If I decided to use zinc metal gold would be precipitated?
Which company sodium metabisulfite do you use?
Write full details please

Hello! i have a recycling gold and can i refining to gold 999 pure gold?
David Lee Hi! Sorry for the late reply but just saw your post, boiling helps with gold coagulation, just makes things faster.
Odbayar Gerel : You can take it even further: 9999+

Gold dissolved in aqua regia
Hello I have a problem with precipitation where the deposit has become white color, what is the solution please
Did you use SMB to precipitate the gold?
The same problem where iam wrong
too much smb
And where are your comments?

How much add smb aqua regia plz reply sir
depends on how much gold you have in solution
Can i contact with you???
Very nice
Very good, nice

How many hours have to wait for gold settle down at the bottom
if you're boiling it should take 40 min at most
