Port weren’t willing to contest the ball for more than a quarter. It is inexcusable to lose by that margin. For Port to rise above mediocrity they need to make radical changes. It is unclear if it is solely personnel deficiencies and/or one dimensional coaching. Port routinely capitulate in big games. They have failed both tests this season. If Port truely stand for something meaningful, they simply cannot excuse this type of performance. Comprehensively beaten all over the ground. Port aren’t close to being contenders. Can play scintillating football when the game is on their terms but the moment they are challenged they capitulate. Embarrassing performance, yet a predictable outcome.
The glove is to protect a finger injury. The AFL allows equipment on a case by case basis for injuries. He would have needed to show them exactly what he was going to use, and get them to sign off on it, before he wore it in the game.
Everyone hates port too. It’s funny because people usually hate on successful teams, but port are obviously the exception. They’re unsuccessful and still hated.
