Ed Watson the original Heavy Roller of Soca music!! Heavy basslines, heavy soca beats and the tightest brass lines!! Listen to the synthesiser! This is soca music how it used to be and how it should be. Sweet soca music like this can never die!!
Who’s still banging this one in 2020? BIG TUNE from back in the day. I must have been around 6 or 7 years old when this dropped. I hope that either Bunji, Farmer Nappy or Swappi will bring this one back. Thanks for the wonderful memories Mr Watson
Just the baddest soca musical combo maybe of all time during the heyday of classic oca... the late 1970s and early to mid 1980s No wonder they called Ed Watson the Heavy Roller back then.
I would NEVER hold Ed Watson responsible for the crap that is Soca today, Nothing original and vocals that are saturated in AutoTune is nothing like the goodness of Ed Watson, Art Decoteau, even Frankie Mac or Leston Paul. Just my opinion.
Ed Watson is to docs what the Soul Brothers of Motown fame were to 1960s and 1970s soul music. Ed Watson and Brass Circle's sound can be found on so many big soca tunes
jajaja this is soca how it should be done waw i remember back in the 80,s this song i was little ans used to listen to this often on an old memorex cassette on my boom box sharp gf777 love this song big time tune. salute from nicaragua
Some of those big soca tunes on which you can hear the Ed Watson trademark of hot brass, sweet rhythm guitar, nice drumming, percussion engine room, iconic soca bass and of course Watson's synthesizer and electric piano, not to mention sweet vocals of Errol Ashe and Singing Diane...... include Bills and Soca Rhumba by then future global soca phenom Arrow of Montserrat and Just A Little Bit and Sugar Bum Bum by the Grandmaster Lord Kitchener
A youngkeyboardist / arranfer named Leston Paul was a part of the mix as well in Ed Watson brass circle back in the day. Also singing Dianne , and the Hendrickson sisters ( Allrounder daughters) , were part of some of Ed Watson tunes.
