  • Footage of the Utica Fire Department Centennial Anniversary Parade held on June 1, 1974. All in service companies were in the parade. Engines 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, and 13. Trucks 1, 2, 3, and 4, Salvage 2, the Deputy Chiefs cars, and the signal maintenance truck. This was filmed by Lieutenant Teddy Sczcesniak, RIP. It was donated to the Historical Society by his daughter Julie Sczcesniak Slaga. Thanks to Tony Taurisano for cleaning up and editing the footage.

    I was 13, Truly a Great Parade! Every piece of apparatus in the UFD!!! American La France, Seagrave and A Sanford (Engine 2) at the time! Dark Red, the color of the day! 13 Engines, minus Engine 11, 5 Trucks, and 1 Salvage!! The good old days!!! It was a good show of firefighters and equipment!!!
