It's because of caste, I'm not putting it blindly with enough good reasons as we know he got well promoted by top politicians who belongs to the same community when they were in ruling. What she said is absolutely true.... think this is something which is really need to be addressed... she being in the sport she knows better what exactly is happening around...
I know her since she started playing badminton, at that time Gopichand was already many times national champion. She started playing her game looking up to Gopichand and may good players alike. Its quite childish to compare her achievements to his, both belonged to different era, besides, his only achievement(All England title) eclipses all her titles. Its like comparing Sunil Gavaskar to Nayan Mongia! All England title is like winning Wimbledon in Tennis, no matter how big a player you are if you havent cracked a major your achievements dont really count. Gopichand and only other player is Prakash Padukone who won All England title.
The only thing she might get a mileage on is her comments on Gopichand running a private academy and being a chief coach of the country which I think is conflict of interest. I blame him for it as well the badminton authority for allowing it.
You are mixing up issues ; if someone is a good badminton player it doesn't mean one is right in other aspects of life. That's like saying Salaman Khan has achieved so much so he cannot be wrong. If someone has his own academy how can you be a national coach, won't you give preference to players from your academy ? Won't parents send kids to academy that is owned by chief coach ? Won't academies charge high fees for this reason?

Jwala's smashes have been one of the best that I've seen. Never understood why she received so much hate. She has mentioned a lot of important points here. Even after 5 years, our only hope for medal in women's singles Badminton was Sindhu. If you see China, they have new players coming up almost in every Olympics and the result is seen in the medal tally. However I don't agree with the foreign coach point since Gopichand cannot possibly focus on everyone. So other coaches will be needed.

Conflict of interest when a national coach has his own academy. He should let go of any one. else this would create a culture of favoritism and bias.

I have seen foreign coach in foreign countries they train the player or sports man as per the money they receive they aren't concerned about players/sports man winning medal. If the rival also comes basing on contracts they work. But Indian coach will never as per as possible will not train opponent that to rival to their nation sometimes they arrange for their families livelihood. Medals to be won by players not by coaches.

She is 14 times national champion and 2 times olympic represented and etc like common wealth and Asian. Without knowing the ABCD of badminton do not comment. After sainanehwal and sindhu she is most prestigious player in India than gopichand. Gopichand just won a england badminton only. Gopichand guru Arif sir is head coach of Jwala gutta badminton academy. Sainnehwal first trained under Arif sir national coach, from where gopichand has taken all these players to his academy.

Jwala is absolutely right and kudos to her for standing up. Even women cannot stand another outspoken women who tells things as it is. It is unfortunate that a big country like India can’t produce many more sports stars. Too much focus on cricket and on men’s sports, and politicians who no nothing about sports.

In India except Cricket we don't follow any sports. Politicians, Cricketers make huge money through IPL, sponsors, TV Ads. Indian government doesn't take sports seriously as a result we end up getting one silver, one bronze medal in 2016 Rio Olympics. End of the day people like Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Saina Nehwal, Yogeshwar Dutt & Babita Kumari joined BJP only to make money. It is very hard to find honest people in India willing to coach or motivate young people to take up sports and win medals for our Country. In India you should have money, fame and political backing to lead a comfortable life otherwise you will end up in slum area

What ever she speaks Govt of India have to react. Gopichand is not only the coach in India. He should not be baised towards the players.If his coach would have been like this to him also he wouldnt have reached this point where he is now.A true coach will sort out the issues and brings best out of players.According to me Gopichand doesn't have true sportsmanship.

@@lonestarfun8389 These folks have no idea how badminton academies and SAI works, they are thinking this through Cricket and other sports glasses, that is why they are making these comments. One has to understand two things
1. Gopichand is not the head coach and selection supreme for the players who can participate in international level representing India.
2. His academy players such as Sindhu, Saina, Srikanth are winning international level private tournaments and that is why they are selected to represent India
3. Badminton is different than, let us say hockey, there are various avenues one can participate in international tournaments
4. To this date there is no private academy like Gopichand's produced international players in India. Hopefully, there will be more may come in the future
5. Let Gutta Jwala or somebody else first produce international level caliber players, then talk about the selection process if any
6. Sooner or later if facilities are good, SAI will be partnered with her academy also just like Gopichand's, she knows that too. I don't understand why she making a fuss about it.
7. In the name of complaining one should not bitch, I do not understand why Jwala keeps doing it rather focus on her academy and produce the players. Here work should speak rather than her jealousy.
