    Lila, thank you so much!! I just started color correcting a timeline that is already edited into many clips. Do I need to go through each clip and adjust the scopes, or can I use an adjustment layer for that as well?

      You can do all the color corrections and grading on an adjustment layer so it will immediately be applied to l the clips below that adjustment layer! :)

      Hey christian! Playing it by ear.. or eye actually 😜 is not always a great idea. I've caught myself doing that sometimes too, but it's really the best to also use the scopes. And I agree, practice makes progress!! Keep it up :)

    This video was damn awesome, for the first time I actually feel like I understand color correcting and thanks to one of your other videos I finally heard from someone that you have to color correct before applying a Lut and that you have to lower the intensity of the Lut, this information has soooo much value to me. thanks!

      Hiiii Brian!! haha I get that. Setting your white balance manually will already help you a lot! For this video, I forgot to set my white balance and it was one of those days that the clouds were moving super fast and therefore the exposure kept changing. I had to do a LOT of correction for this video, so I feel your pain. But usually by setting my white balance manually it doesn't take too long.

    Hey! Thanks for the video! I have watched a few of your videos and I have learnt a lot from them, so thank you for that. This video will help me a lot aswell, however I am trying to find out, will I have to colour correct every individual cut in my production separately? Or is there away to copy the colour correction setting to another clip or multiple clips in my project? Thanks 🙏

      Yessss, use an adjustment layer! Click on new item > adjustment layer and put it on top of all the clips you want to apply the same colour grade too and then just colour grade that layer!

Outdoor flight videos normally don’t need any correction, but indoor unboxings do. Though I might color correct outdoor stuff anyway now that I know how to do it 😎

      @@GBLynden it looks great!! I also took a peak at an outdoor video and I think you can definitely correct it a little bit to make it pop more by adding a bit of contrast for example :) but overall the straight out of camera footage looks pretty good!!

    hey lila! thanks for your help! is there a way to save your settings so you can quickly apply to all the frames?

      yes you can! You can either use an adjustment layer to apply it to all the clips, or save it as a preset. Go to the Effect Controls window on the left, right click on the lumetri colour effect and click on save preset. Then, if you go to the effects tab (where you find all the effects), look in your presets folder and then just drag and drop it on another clip :)

    Hey great video! Do you know why your waveform (LUMA) is in black and white and mine has colours? Is that difference relevant? and how can I change it? Thanks!

      Yes, if you right click on the lumetri scopes you can choose which waveform you want to see. I always use the LUMA (showing the exposure of the video), I think you have the RGB (colours of the video) enabled :)
