that at a satch show before and this was great live, plus he played tons of songs I didnt think he was going to play and some I hadnt seen him play before so was a great experience. I had to drive 1000 miles roundtrip too cause he wasnt coming to the twin cities. Was totally worth it and Id do it again in a heartbeat and am actually planning on seeing chickenfoot either this year or maybe next winter but im guessing this fall. and g3 the year after i hear! To each their own but ILL listen to him
well i guess ive only seen him 5 times and bought every dvd, almost all cds and yes i have downloaded stuff only because you cant buy it, also met him a few times and have a bunch of stuff signed and pics. not saying that makes me any more of a fan than you but I am a huge fan regardless and personally I think this is a great album, I think satchafunkilus kinda sucked to be honest but opinions are like assholes we all have one and they all stink. plus dude is rockin the keyboard and i never seen
@whoopgnash Aside from that being an incredibly biased comment it is also incredibly wrong. Huzzah for you being so opinionated. The best musicians don't re-invent themselves because they play for greater reasons than just changing to suit a fan bases interests. You clearly have a hard on for Kneally, so why aren't your praising him in his videos, rather than smashing Joe in his own when you're clearly at least a moderate fan :P
@whoopgnash I think youre on crack man hes changed things and is doing the chickenfoot thing, still runs G3 and this cd is pretty cool. Id say 70% are good songs if not great on the cd so yeah whatever thats a success in my eyes. Plus I went to see him for this tour and IT was great a real live feel like the super collossal tour. I guess the way I look at it is if you are going to come here just to bash him then why come here/comment at all? Rock on Satch! I look forward to seeing you again man!
@lookslikeyouhadenuff ok, no need to get shitty over an opinion. this is a forum for both positive and negative, like in any democratic society. and buy the way, i bought Joes new cd retail. i love the man and would never try and get a free download. i saw him in 1987 at first avenue upon the surfing with alien release. there were 30 people there! i've been a huge fan ever since, payed for every cd, but it just seems to be getting a little tired. as great as he is, don't you think there's more?
@coxfox10 hey, don't get all chapped. have you ever listened to Mike Kneally's music? buy some, like Beer for Dolphins, or his solo piano cd playing the music of Steve Vai.....or numerous other releases. My point: I love Joe but he's getting rather tired. A guy like Kneally CONSTANTLY reinvents himself, and nobody probably even pays attention. If talent had anything to do with it, Joe would be playing in Mikes band. Again, I love Satch, but it's starting to get tired, and he could do better.
