My dog was put to sleep this morning. I cried so much during this video. Edit: thank you for the likes. It's been almost three years and it hurts to not have my doggie by my side, but things get better. We got a puppy about a year after my dog passed, who looks exactly like my old dog. His name is Blue and he's my best friend.
When my dog died, I had just spent the last two weeks in Cambodia, and when my mom was picking me up from the airport, she told me that the surgeries he underwent for lung problems (which I already knew about) had gone bad. I didn't feel mad at anyone, I knew it was not the vet's fault. She took me to the vet where he was, and he was in veey poor condition. The next morning, we decided to put him down. The whole family was there. We got him when I was 4 and he died when I was 16.
I am so sad after reading this, bro, plz guide me what should I do when time comes to me... Plz bro, anyone plz tell.. I am feeling worried and little depressed after watching this video. Plz guys.. tell what I can do for my pet when he... He will be no more.
My best friend is my collie named max, age 11, who has been with me for practically my whole life. I couldn't help but think of the fact in the upcoming years he will pass. There is a forest with a waterfall behind our house, when he goes I want to go and scatter his ashes there. We used to love to go down there and play together, but what I really would like is for me too to be scattered there so I can forever be in the place that I love with my best friend. If you have just lost your Animal companion I am so sorry. I never cry but just by thinking of this I burst out into tears for quite a while. I hope they get to run/bask/swim/fly happily wherever they are. RIP to all of our animal companions

I had a experiance working in a kindergarden a long time ago. The children found a bird in the garden that died few minutes later. - Nobody told the children to do what they did in a very special ritual. They did it on their own and in their own way. They only asked us when they needed some further instructions. All the children burried this little baby bird, put some flowers in and around the grave, made a little wooden cross and put wonderful little stones around that little grave - but: when the burial was over with all its rituals the children went on playing like always....it was done , it was over, and now they could go back to their kindergarden routine. This experiance was very amazing. And I also remember all my long gone pets. (Our garden is like a little pet cemetary) - Goldfishes, Chinchilla, birds, guiny pigs, our little pet mouses, my rabit Moritz, my sons white rabit snow whitie, my dog Blacky the poodle, my rat speedy, hamster-Meggie, baby birds that died in our garden....., that was before we got a pet cremation place - I had my terrier mix Mockedin cremated and still have his ashes. Many years have past since then, but I never forgot one single animal that we ever owned and its own little life and history. The will never be forgotten. And specially for our little mice : They had a wonderful colourful save life with many different treats, sleeping tunnels, love, wheel to run in etc. - and now they are reunited with their friends in heaven. The last mouse hade a big tumor (what is normal for pet mice) - but: it lived almost until 2? I can´t remember , but it got very old. I fold a special little paper box from a calendar who had the sun on its top inside and put some of his food, flowers and hay in it. Now it rests in our garden
My fur baby is going down tomorrow. I honestly can't sleep. She's got cancer and she's deaf and blind. I just want to be able to be there.. so this is the best way..
I just want to throw in something I would like to say. When your pet passes away they are not gone. Sure they are not on the Earth any more but they are living a new life in heaven. Sure it is still sad they no longer with you but they with you not physically but they are in your heart
I let down my childhood dog and I wasn’t there for her at the end when she had to be put down. She was always there for me as a kid and young adult. But I was scared and I abandoned her in her greatest time of need. Idk if I’ll ever forgive myself but I know I’ll be there for my current dog and cat when their times come.
I've heard stories of dogs running away from their home, so they can die away from their owners, so they don't feel the pain of losing them. Your pet is probably happy that you didn't have to go through the pain of seeing her die.

We went out with our aunt, and I had to act all happy.Before we left, we had her in the field and made huge fuss of her and then we went to our aunts. We went home, and cried, and then my mom got her ashes back. We have her on our mantlepiece... On June 10, 2014, my mom, dad and were planting, me and Yuri (husky) were playing frisbee and Julie (cat) is sleeping. While playing frisbee, the disc flew towards the road. Yuri was on his way to catch the disc and a car shredded Yuri to death and the car didn't even stopped driving. I'm still blaming my self, why did I play frisbee with yuri? On August 25, 2014, I was on a event with mom and dad texted us that Julie was at the vet, telling us that Julie had kidney problems. On August 29, 2014 she constantly died that day. Am I the reason why Yuri and Julie died? I feel sorry and still now, I'm blaming myself. Christmas is nothing without the both of them here with my family and every night will be boring before I go to sleep. What have I done?

I lost 2 hamsters and I was extremely sad, and the worst thing was I lost my first hamster when was 8, and lost my second one when I was 10, but I got over it and they're always with me. I had a hamster which I had for about 3 years. His name was berry (8 years old) I was playing with him and I picked him up. I went upstairs to room but before I got to my room I tripped and fell. Berry fell out of my hands and when he hit the ground it was his end. I started to think the same thing but then I started to think of all the happy times I have had with that hamster

I was very young when we adopted her, during this time I didn't spend much time with her. I had so much going on in my life. She's such an old soul, but she is incredibly playfull around us. We also have a 6 month old spoodle male. I love him to absolute bits. Just as I love Georgie, our beagle. Georgie was getting lonely with the hours we had to go to school and my mum working later hours. So we got her a friend. I honestly can't imagine a world without them, they are my entire world and they shaped me to be who I am. I love Georgie and Huckley ❤️.
Yea my cat got into some sort of poison and when we checked on him this morning he was brain dead. his brain had =shut down with some organs. he couldn't control his bodily functions

i have just lost a pet/family member. and i've been this several times, i am sure it will never be easy, and until now i still feel that guilt pang for not making his/her life slightly more enjoyable. That "if only../i wish i have.." thought really fills your mind afterwards. though i agree not to blame yourself. TBH as someone who also hunt, i believe animal will to live is way much over human, unless in very dire pain, i can't see an animal "wish to be put to sleep". R.I.P for all animals out ther, coz i trully believe there's better place for them in heaven.
We too lost our love recently, it's very difficult for us to come out, we still couldn't believe that he is no more,may his soul rest in peace, we strongly believe that he returns to us in other form.
For those of you who are losing a pet sometime soon: I am 13 nd my and my little sister who is 9 have gone through MANY pet losses. It's okay though it is the circle of life and you will find someone need to love but it's going to be alright. :)
My grandmothers cat (MY grandmother has lived me all my life.) died today, she was 22. I cried a little, but my grandmother is hysterical. She keeps giving it water, she thinks the medicine she put on her will bring her back to life, she keeps thinking the cat will come back to life. Its really sad, it makes me wanna cry.
My German shepherd dog is currently suffering a fungus infection that is spreading around her brain. She isn’t even 2 years old yet. Every pet I have had, always dies of something other than old age. My mom told me that we may have to put her down soon. She helped me through so much and she is just the most loving dog ever. Just to see her unable to walk properly and unable to respond to things just breaks my heart.

I'm 32 years old, and i've lost a few pets over the years, doesnt matter if your 8 or 20, losing a pet always hurts, you should never feel embrassed by it, he or she was as much a part of your family as anything else. If you got kids, Mr Rogers has a really good book called "when a pet dies" that will help
My dog hasn't died yet, thankfully, but I wouldn't want to be there when he is put down. I would be very hard for me, so I would probably scream if I saw him dead. Before he would go to be put down, I would hug him and kiss him and comfort him, and I would even say things like 'it's going to be all right' and 'I will miss you, always'. Even if someone is joking about my dog dying, I take it very seriously and burst out with tears.

I currently have 4 cats (2 in one house 2 in another) and I can't think about how sad I'll be when the time comes to say goodbye to them.... Just recently our cross breed dog Roxy had to be put down because she had tumours in her spleen and liver and it was too advanced for the vets to treat her illness, the worst part was my parents telling me that Roxy had to be put to sleep and it hit me really hard and it's difficult to lose a pet that you have been attached to for so many years, I miss my dog and I wish I would have been there to say goodbye to her one last time. After our dog collapsed in the back garden my parents had to bring her in and I'm glad I didn't witness it because it would have left me traumatised, as I was about to go to college my mum had to carry Roxy to the cage because she couldn't walk, it was horrible and I hated seeing her life being taken away like that because it affected me, the death of Roxy has affected our family every day and I'm basically getting emotional because I'm missing having my companion coming up to me and having the chance to stroke her, Roxy, you're missed by everyone, love you sweetie. x

i have just lost a pet/family member. and i've been this several times, i am sure it will never be easy, and until now i still feel that guilt pang for not making his/her life slightly more enjoyable. That "if only../i wish i have.." thought really fills your mind afterwards. though i agree not to blame yourself. TBH as someone who also hunt, i believe animal will to live is way much over human, unless in very dire pain, i can't see an animal "wish to be put to sleep". My grandmothers cat (MY grandmother has lived me all my life.) died today, she was 22. I cried a little, but my grandmother is hysterical. She keeps giving it water, she thinks the medicine she put on her will bring her back to life, she keeps thinking the cat will come back to life. Its really sad, it makes me wanna cry.

My German shepherd dog is currently suffering a fungus infection that is spreading around her brain. She isn’t even 2 years old yet. Every pet I have had, always dies of something other than old age. My mom told me that we may have to put her down soon. She helped me through so much and she is just the most loving dog ever. Just to see her unable to walk properly and unable to respond to things just breaks my heart.

I'm 32 years old, and i've lost a few pets over the years, doesnt matter if your 8 or 20, losing a pet always hurts, you should never feel embrassed by it, he or she was as much a part of your family as anything else. If you got kids, Mr Rogers has a really good book called "when a pet dies" that will help
My dog hasn't died yet, thankfully, but I wouldn't want to be there when he is put down. I would be very hard for me, so I would probably scream if I saw him dead. Before he would go to be put down, I would hug him and kiss him and comfort him, and I would even say things like 'it's going to be all right' and 'I will miss you, always'. Even if someone is joking about my dog dying, I take it very seriously and burst out with tears.

Just recently our cross breed dog Roxy had to be put down because she had tumours in her spleen and liver and it was too advanced for the vets to treat her illness, the worst part was my parents telling me that Roxy had to be put to sleep and it hit me really hard and it's difficult to lose a pet that you have been attached to for so many years, I miss my dog and I wish I would have been there to say goodbye to her one last time. After our dog collapsed in the back garden my parents had to bring her in and I'm glad I didn't witness it because it would have left me traumatised, as I was about to go to college my mum had to carry Roxy to the cage because she couldn't walk, it was horrible and I hated seeing her life being taken away like that because it affected me, the death of Roxy has affected our family every day and I'm basically getting emotional because I'm missing having my companion coming up to me and having the chance to stroke her, Roxy, you're missed by everyone, love you sweetie. x
