Celebrating the mighty LX Torana built between 1976 and 1980. Featuring the famous SLR 5000 and the race proven A9X. This video showcases my 1976 LX Torana SLR 5000 A9X tribute car. Also features the 1978 and 1979 Bathurst races and the 4 door A9X driven by Ralph Radburn and John Smith.

I was about 13 in 1977 when my cousin took 4 of us fora spin in his Kermit green slr5000. It fishtailed in every gear. Fast and cool….wish I’d bought one

My uncle had one in the 70s same colour. He didnt no it was an a9x he didnt khow what an a9x was. He bought from the auction cheap even they didnt know. That car was faster then alot the v8s back then. It got stolen 3 times then he sold it for cheap and the guy still owns it and knows what bought

I think I would've given my left nut to own a A9X hatchback in my 20's,now I'm in my 60's I wouldn't go so far as that,but,I would pay handsomely for a real good one in top nick to cruise around town in. (((((((((((((((Viva La A9X's)))))))))))))))))) ❤'em!

I had an A9x 4dr in yellow in my early 20s...worst handling heavy car I've ever owned to be honest...wish I had of kept it money wise...but as a driver...nah
