Nice tutorial and encouraging. Liked the way you looped the tracks! I've spun tracks in my day and even called myself a so called dj. With djing software and a DJ controller I have just learned in 48 hours of surfing the web and RUclips that this is what you need to be a DJ in this era. If it's your first time I understand. But all you need to do is just listen. It takes a really long time to know what actually sounds good sometimes. Everything needs to be done on a fly otherwise you're not DJing.
The tempo faders are hard to get bang on tempo, so you can tempo match and have track 1 at say 129 and try and bring a 120 bpm on track 2 up to 129 but it usually ends up being at 128.95 and that means the tracks will get out of sync. The easiest option is just to hit sync. On the hurcules dj academy they use two tracks that are at the same bpm. More expensive controllers have more control over fine adjustments of bpm, not sure if it can be changed in software so it is easier to hit on the impulse 200?
I don't get it When I nudge the jogwheels clockwise that channel slows down When I pull the pitch fader towards me... it speeds up that channel Yet if nothing is playing... They go the correct way! What am I missing???
A lot of software like bandlab will allow you to separate the stems of songs. I’d try pulling some stems like vocals out of a tune and mixing in the instrumental of another genre!

I havent dabbled to deep into what you can pull into the program and play with as far as legit songs everyone knows. It does have the option to link to SoundCloud and a couple other off shoot music apps. Id assume those would all upload files just the same. However, I use Ableton to record guitar tracks and layer them, yada yada. Since picking up this control up (pawn shop deal, could t resist) Ive found those tracks from Ableton load into their program really fast and clear. Im writing metal tracks and making them into some crazy cool things id never have expected to or would have thought to do. You can even clip sections from your imported material and make those into quick hit FX. Really cool tool for a beginner. Or even a moderate player like me that wants to try something new but not go crazy over budget. This is affordable, and you won't get bored if you are looking to use it to expand your creativity and try something new! 🤘🤘
You can import any song you want so long as it’s downloaded on your computer. So for songs on spotify, soundcloud, youtube etc. you can download the song as an mp3 file (a quick google search will give several website that do this) and then load the mp3 file into the dj software EDIT: I think this software has a feature where you can import songs from soundcloud directly without downloading it as a file. But regardless. You can use whatever song you want.
