Now that I look at this decades later, I appreciate the acting that was quite good! The actors seem relaxed and speak like real people do

I know right??? It’s surprising. They even stutter and talk over each other.

What a treat to see these scenes with Mona, Ruth, and a visiting Nick Davis. During AMC's early years, the Phil/Tara/Chuck young love triangle was prominent; but given the constant recasting of those characters; the mostly over-30 performers who held the show together were Susan Lucci, Frances Heflin, Mary Fickett, Ray MacDonnell, Ruth Warrick, Hugh Franklin, and Kay Campbell. I would enjoy seeing more episodes from the 1970s involving these core performers.

Cast List Erica Kane was in the same age group as Phil and Tara. The character was not an over 30 staple during the 70s.

The scene with Nick, Ruth and Mona was priceless!! I love the banter btw. Nick and Ruth. You don't really see that on soaps anymore. It seems every soap scene now is filled with people being mean to each other and telling each other off. BORING! But back in the day you had that plus the drama and the romance and the simple reunion of old friends, which made for a very nice balance, and a show that felt like home.

@dereka79 Soaps are about nothing but sex and violence nowdays. You're right, it is boring.
