Wish I went this year.
The prices shown on some of the cars are crazy.
Cheap at the price. 32 sedan chrome $7K, non stock cloth interior $17K, simple paint on good body $15K, common V8 rebuild $5K. Then all the fiddly bits and 2K hours labor.....
I bought a new red Mach l back in 1969 with a 351 W for $3450 and I bet it would go for $80,000 in perfect shape today. It just crazy what prices have gone to.

I found the one that I want. Now I still need to get a heated three car garage for my two other hot rods that I don't have yet.
8:00 Never got excited about shoe box Fords, but this is one sweet custom. Probably my fave was the '61 Impala bubble top 9:25. Gorgeous two tone. Mike came this close to showing whether it was a four speed car. Camera turned away just as it was about to show trans tunnel. Mike, please remember a lot of us are very interested in whether a car has a third pedal, or not.
Never mind, just saw gear shift lever. Not for me.
We pretty much do Ford Carlisle every year, but I’ve done Spring Carlisle years ago. It’s a lot of walking, but there aren’t many swap meets that good. For some reason,, this video made me crave a Ham and Swiss sandwich…

I went looking for pre war stuff and just didn't find much on Saturday. Any events you all recommend for someone wanting to get into the hobby.
Some of those cars and parts look very interesting. But is seems to me there are MANY professional sellers. And it might be hard to find usable parts for a fair price.
Have you ever bought something great that you actually already had only to have find it literally the day after? :)
Love to go to the swap meet is it far from your home? and you camp in the trailer like I do when I sell my stuff, after when the people leave the venders walk around try to get the good deals!
Are the restored cars at carlisle priced to table the builder to recoup their investment? It appears that some do not cover the costs.

Hey guys. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. Been subscribed for a long time. Tired of swaps and barn finds. Please get the channel back to where it started. It was a working car repair channel. Now it’s just a commercialized channel. Start a second channel for all the balogny and get this one back to building and repairing. Of course this is my opinion. You’ll make. More money that way.
I disagree. I enjoy the barn finds and swap meets. The variety is what is good.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Maybe and I don’t know you weren’t here in the beginning or haven’t watched the Free T build. If they had a second channel you could watch it instead.
Place is choked with multi carb intakes and flathead speed equipment not nearly enuff engines to support it.
