The side of that hazmat looks like it seen better days. Reminds me of when I was in fire training in Indiana and one of the classes we had was at a Gary, IN fire station and two of the compartment doors had buckshot marks from shotgun. The fine citizens of Gary actually shot a shotgun at the engine while it was on scene of a medical aid. This was around 2007. Also had one of the compartment doors missing.
It's a reserve squad. It's a 1996 HME. Squad 1 from 1996 to 2000 and was wrecked in 1998. Became the hazmat for 2 years and then has been a spare squad since. It was squad 3 for the TV show Chicago fire. It was used for 511 and 512 for a while since G492 may be having some problems or might even be gone. Squad 7S is somewhere but we don't know why it hasn't been used. It says hazmat because it was being a hazmat spare for a while.

@@e60_buffer29 Squad 1 and Squad 2’s Frontlines are down Squad 1 is in G510 and Sqaud 2 is running Squad 5’s old rig the only spares they have left is G492 which is primarily a Hazmat rig, the ALF Squad, and Old SQ7 which is only a spare for the Airport is far as I know
@@billypetty1453 squads don't use G492 and only squad 7 uses that old pierce. And they aren't even using it. It really just comes down to old 23. Maybe they might convert a ladder or an engine into a reserve squad like they did back in the 1980s and 90s. They might use s snorkel if they can't get a spare. Like the time squad 1A uses G510
