A husband of 7 years who had been loving and devoted but believed the instigation of the wannabe mistress is not someone worth fighting for. The irony was that he was not in love with the mistress nor was he closely associated with her but he chooses to believe her and abuses the wife for the crime which the mistress had committed. No investigation, just straight condemnation for the wife. That is unforgivable. In the 5years of separation, the mistress was hanging on to the ml like a wife and the husband had the audacity to to stake claims again. The most painful part was the part when the wife was stabbed 12 times by the mistress when the wife was pregnant and she disappeared but the husband did not even investigate the reasons and decided to believe the mistress and hang around with her. So sad that the lady returns to the man. A complete waste of time.
Exactly. While it may not be a western culture, true humans should have basic respect for others. Women are neither property nor breeding machines and should never be subjected to such sadism. The fact the writers try to make the husband sympathetic is pretty disgusting. No amount of spitting out blood or asking for the kitchen staff to prepare food makes up for beating and starving her or bankrupting and killing her parents. While the actors give good performances I cannot in good conscience recommend this drama. If it was true revenge, I could. But the FL would NEVER go back to someone that allowed her child to be killed while keeping company with the murderer. Women are very loyal. It's why they are often taken advantage of. But once they give up on a man, they never go back. Not for money, a better life and especially do not ever fall back in love with him.
Pls stop this kind of drama.. Abusive husband again end up again on his wife how pathetic is this .stop doing this if you want us to watch your drama give us a good drama not ending with her ex husband...
Anytime I see this male actor as the lead, I now skip his dramas. He must have it in his contract to act as the abusive, emotionally manipulative spouse who always gets the woman in the end no matter how much he hurts them. Personally, I'm not into drams like that so I now skip them.
I skip his abusive roles as well. But he actually has a lot of non-abusive roles in really good scripts. And his acting in them is brilliant. In one he's playing a lawyer (about 4hrs long), in one he pays an actress to play his wife, another one he plays a devoted ill Fu Tingchen (FL is reborn), and in one a similar sick surgeon (another reborn one) and another one I remember a CEO who hides his identity in order not to be killed but is picked up by FL who equally hides her identity. There is one last one where he plays quite a funny and light-hearted boss.
@@DefinitelyStefinitely Yeah, he does have non-toxic and abusive roles and I love them. They actually just uploaded one recently and it was so cute/funny. Ma Xiao Yu is one of my favorite online actors, I hate that they mostly give him toxic roles like this bc he’s such a great actor and very versatile… My guess is that they give him these roles bc of his image/physique, but big/manly men can be gentle giants🥺 It’s the same way with Zhen Zi Qi(one of my other favs)😩

Yeah he had played so many disgusting abusive characters, but there are many more soo sweat and loving characters that he had played too and they are so heartwarming and cute , it seems they are bound by contract to play such horrible roles
Love this actor, but this drama lost me in ten minutes. Going to go find something with a less stupid male character to watch. Hopefully, one that doesn't deafening me with too loud music.
Please rethink your post production process. They music really adds nothing to the production. It highlights the problem with revenge - innocent people get hurt and die. The real story starts a few scenes before the end - how does a child who loved both deal with what's happened when they are an adult and lead a normalish life?
Why is it that the male lead in Chinese drama really, really fond of choking the female lead? What's put on the writer's mind, why it's so common on their drama? And also the villain is really a good stalker, always appears instantly wherever and whenever the lead character goes, either in cemetery, office, hospital ,etc.
I’m sorry but a real Man that is secure in who he is and what he’s capable of would never treat the person he loves so horribly. Furthermore Women need to stop taking abusive Men back because they may end you one day.

So ML was distraught after losing his parents. SFL feeding him lies while in this state. Went a little too far accusing his wife. You can see he really loved his wife. When her parents were killed he was confused when she blamed him as he knew nothing about it. SFL told wife it was him when it was her. So SFL played both ML and FL into believing her lies. ML confessed to SFL that he'd only love his wife even in death and would never love another. Now after five years he finally learns the truth. This is how they end up back together. 😂😮😊

FL.is actually a sad figure. She's treated badly by her first husband then used as tool for revenge by the 2nd one and back to the 1st husband bring back the daughter of the latest husband who happened to be the step brother of her 1st one. What a weird story!!!
FL goes back to ML. The daughter is used to coerce her into going back. I LOVE the ML actor, but this script, not so much. I prefer seeing this actor portraying a strong supportive role, not an evil basset.

My suggestion would be to not waste your limit resources on abusive, negative dramas. These kind of dramas, people watch once and then skip them.
