I live in the area it was really sad im like a few houses down . There were a lot of damage and cops plus ambulances..

What's the difference between "cypress" and "Cy Fair" ?
same - School and Fire Department is Cy Fair ISD, Cy Fair Fire Department - in Cypress Tx
They are 2 different communities in Harris County.
Cy-Fair is an independent school district (Cy-Fair ISD) and general area covering several communities, including neighborhoods that reside in Cypress, TX. Similar to Fort Bend county and Fort Bend ISD that span across multiple small cities (Sugar Land, Richmond, Rosenberg, etc.). Same as like asking what's the difference between Richmond and Fort Bend.
