I don't watch your channel for all the "new". Please don't feel pressured to be on top of the trendiest makeup. You're bringing something unique to the beauty space!
I regularly tune in to maybe a dozen makeup experts, and Mandy Lea is the wittiest! Always a fun time, even when she's giving us serious s*** to consider!
Precisely! The seemingly constant buying of new items and hauls are why I have stopped watching other beauty channels. It just seems excessive. I personally cannot afford nor do I have the space to store every new palette or launch that is released. I find it refreshing to see someone use a palette that is "well used and enjoyed" such as this one. Others will review or show a new palette and then we never see it again. For me it's just gotten old.
Okay, I've heard you rave about the Nabla Cutie palette in Nude for a long time, so bought it! You are right! It's a great little palette. I'm going to get a lot of use out of it. The quality is excellent, and the shades are right up my alley. ❤️
As for your son going off to college… take deep breaths and know that your an awesome mom. I mean, your son is going to college! That is huge! Take pride into his accomplishments and know that he is growing into a successful young man, and you have a huge part in that. Be nothing short of a proud mom. You deserve it!
Nice look! Just dropped my third child off for her senior year of college. My best advice, take it ALL in with each of your kiddos; it's all special. When mine went to college, I had them screenshot their schedule and send it to me so I didn't call during a class. We eventually set up a convenient time to chat. Felt like I was less intrusive. They all still know, they can call any time for any reason, and they do! Wouldn't want it any other way. They're always our kids and they'll always need their Mom. Hang in there, it's all good. We get it😉
I have 2 I’ve sent off to college. My best advice you’ve probably not already heard is to download Snapchat if your son uses it, then start a streak with him. My kids each snap me once a day. It’s easy for them, and I love to get to see their face every day. Sometimes it will be when they are in the room, sometimes as they are walking to class, sometimes in the gym… it’s fun to see a little snippet of what they are doing. In return I send them a picture of me or the dog etc. It seems like a silly thing, but it’s really nice to see them every day!
I use the Pur eyeshadow primer that I first got in TJ Maxx. It's great. I bought 2 more at 60% off in Sephora at Kohl's so they cost just $8 each. Great price, great product!
I appreciate the softer eye looks you do. For someone who is nearing 50, the loud and bold eyeshadow looks that many creators sport these days are just are not my jam. I am impressed with the skill to create those looks but I personally do not aspire to create that look for myself. So I genuinely appreciate when creators do the softer eyeshadow looks for those of us who enjoy wearing it but don't want to go all out.
I have a sophomore in high school and a junior in college who just left today! It's strange that first year, but one gets used to it. The first time they come home (to do their laundry and eat everything in the fridge) is always extra fun.
Hey Mandy Lea! Going to TJMaxx is just part of my weekly routine! I'm always on the hunt for great makeup and skincare items, and I've seen many by Kopari but haven't purchased yet. I'm too busy being hypnotized by eyeshadow palettes and great brushes! Anyway, love your look! And don't ever feel like you have to apologize for repeating yourself when a product is just that good! Thanks for your energy, though it sounds like you should conserve it for your busy family!
I will say that the elf halo filter is the closest dupe out there for the CT one.. and I have a couple of the other so called dupes that imo are not even close.. You definitely need to try it!
I have bought so many products that you have recommended, and I'm not sure any of them were brand new at the time. I love them all! I don't care about what's brand new. I care about what works and what looks good. Take each day as it comes. Time flies, and your family is way more important than new beauty products. I'll still watch no matter what makeup you're using, and I'm sure everyone else will too :)
Hi! I sense you’re a bit upset or sad with your son going to college. My two kids moved out a few years ago! What helped me a lot was to remember how proud and ready I felt when I left home, ready to start my own path (so I thought!), knowing my parents would always be there for me. So I took a step back, and saw, that, they too, were excited and happy! That was very helpful. I still missed them a lot the first weeks, of course, but not in a sad way
Beautiful look! I love the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream. It’s really one of my favorites. When my oldest left home for college, I really struggled. I worked full time and was aware of how much of her life I had to miss. It really made me learn to appreciate every part of life with my kids and be there for them as much as I could.
The best part of my sons going off to college was that I knew they were happy and looking forward to their independence and the next part of their lives. It was hard not to see them every single day anymore.
When my first born left the house I took it personally and cried. He reassured me it wasn’t anything I did rather that he wanted to move back home as I am a transplant from Colorado to LasVegas. Anyhow, it took all but two weeks to realize how much quieter it was at my house, how my daughter had no one to argue with, the food in the fridge lasted longer, it was cheaper to go out yo eat, etc. Yeah, I got over it pretty quickly 🤭
When mine had college orientation there were things we had to go listen to in the auditorium. Each year when I took my kids to school on the 1st day and helped them find their class I’d walk out of the school crying! Every year, until my baby was in 5th grade! I walked out of the school celebrating! So it was hard when the baby went to college, close enough (couple hours) away she could one home for a visit! It was harder when my oldest daughter left, she sprung it in us on a Thursday morning that she was leaving Monday morning for marine corps basic training! Embrace your free time, you’ll probably love it when you get used to be able to do something as an adult by yourself!
Oh yes I know how it feels. I have one kid in kindergarten (5 years old, so starting school next year ), one is going to gymnasium next year, one 15 year old🙄😂, and one started university last year. Fortunately he is not too far away, so we can visit one another quite frequently. I love seeing him enjoying his freedom, meeting interesting people who are into the same things he is (he is kind of nerdy, I suppose😜) Makes me so happy that I don't suffer all that much. I try to focus on seeing him becoming a great, loving, and caring person while gathering knowledge about things he loves. I seldom meet people with children who are so different in age, so it surprised me that this is the case in your family. All the best!
We dropped our only son off at college football camp on August 9. It’s definitely a big adjustment. We got to see him on Friday - went up for a scrimmage - he seems really happy and enjoying his new life (classes haven’t started yet - so we’ll see how it’s going then 😂. Good luck to your son, and to the rest of you as you adjust to daily life without him!
Love the Tatcha skincare products! The moisturizer is the best, especially for my dry skin. I use a few products and am really happy with them. Love the eye look with the Nabla pallette.
I have only one left at home doing college here with me. the twins are 23 and pretty much as girls will do..dump mom. it's been a bit heartbreaking . cherish the time and let them spread their wings but always be that safe harbor for them.
Those Kapari balms are so good! If you find their Body Wash at TJMaxx, I highly recommend it as well. It’s such a creamy lather that smells absolutely heavenly.
The “It Cosmetics” brush looks exactly like the Elf double ended brush which I love! It’s amazing. And you’re “late” at things because you’re raising 4 kids! That’s much more important for sure. I love your videos regardless! They’re my favorites.
I love the Tatcha Dewy skin cream so much, I have two on backup 😍 and my daughter recently bought the limited edition 75ml size in the Tatcha Water Cream. We are big Tatcha fans!! Nothing plumps my skin like the dewy cream and I will forever buy it!!
Love the dewy skin cream & I want that palette! Anyway about your boy... For me, it wasn't horrible when my eldest left, though I missed him because I was so close to him. However, it was torture when my youngest went away to college. I have 3 sons and my house was always the hangout house, since I was always home. I got really used to all the kids all the time, since all my boys had friends over constantly. Then, as the boys grew up, as well as their friends, all the kids left for college or went into the service. The house was SO empty all of a sudden. When my youngest left, I slept in his room for almost two weeks!! I missed him like crazy! You'll be busy with the other kids, so it won't be so bad this first time. And remember that he'll be back before you know it for holidays and for Summer. 😊
The face wash that comes with that Tatcha dewy skin cream is AMAZING. I put the skin cream on in Pittsburgh a few days ago when it was crazy humid and it took forever to sink in. I agree that you need so little. I loved them both so much!
Aw welcome to college momhood! My oldest is a college Sophomore and my second is a Senior applying to colleges. Such an exciting time of their lives, and ours. ❤️
Before I started writing this somebody else said. Each person I follow I watch because of who they are and their content, so don’t feel pressure to do new. Do you, boo! Need that Nabla palette in my collection. It actually remind me another palette on my shopping list that is there because of you and it is the Persona 1 palette. I try not to buy neutral palettes anymore, because I don’t reach for them anymore, I need color on them but these 2 will get.
I watch you because you share your family and because you truly try to keep things affordable . Your channel just is so genuine so I also don't care about the newest. There are plenty of old gems to share. I also love it when you make a mistake that you show us how to fix it.... was there a missed opportunity in this one with the concealer on the second eye? I could be wrong. Charlie is just so cute who cares if she plays a little. There is only one Charlie.
I really want to try the new elf product too. I’ve seen several people wear it as a base product-not using any foundation over it. It looks so pretty on them so I want to try that.
I dropped my 17yo son off in Sweden a couple of weeks ago to play hockey this season and hopefully learn Swedish. My husband has family in the area but he’s living on his own for the 1st time. Hardest thing I’ve ever done is walk out of his apartment to leave for the airport. I just keep telling myself that he’s living his best life and I’m thankful for that.
Just love you 😍 you are absolutely gorgeous. So exciting for your son. I am 66 and have both adult sons living with me and a granddaughter I'm trying to get rid of them lol.😍 not really. I can only use drugstore brands and some dollar store thank goodness for the good quality ones that are available to us on budgets. Thanks again for everything you show me us. Want to save for good brushes and maybe an eyeshadow pallet someday hopefully.
Yes, I've been using that Tatcha cream. I was lucky enough to find a 4pc set at TJ Maxx a few months back. I haven't used the essence but the other 3 products? I love them. The water cream is SO nice. I use that under my eyes as I'm prepping my skin for makeup. The texture is great for that. It hasn't messed up my concealer game either. Like you. I didn't want to try it (but did, lol) because I knew if I loved the products I wouldn't want to pay full price for them down the line. I'm okay with not repurchasing now. I've been looking for cheaper replacement products for the last 2 months, lol. Who knows. Maybe I'll get lucky at TJ Maxx again?? If I do and they have more than one box I'll be picking up at least 2. Until then. I'm enjoying the experience... 😍
I feel your worry about the children 😕 I have 3 boys, 1 girl. They are all in 4 different levels of school this year! It's stressful for sure but we will all manage together ❤️ We are all a little late to a lot of things... but I enjoy that you don't have to review the newest, "hottest" things. When the hype dies down is when you learn whether a product is worth it or not. Usually the products are forgotten because they weren't worth the hype to begin with.
I also have a Kindergartener, a freshman, a sophomore, and one who left the nest! For the one who no longer lives at home, I just always try to check in every couple of days just to say hi, share a meme, make sure he’s eating, and letting him know he always has a place to come back to if he is ever unhappy. It’s a fine line still trying to be his mom while letting him gain some adult skills LOL
Thanks, i needed the advice. My son didn't come back home, last sem and was much more settled. This sem he has come home 2 weekends in row and is miserable
Hi Mandy! Your makeup came together beautifully! Loving your blush. What brand/color fingernail polish are you wearing? You really do have a lot going on and many changes but they are good and exciting changes. 😊 All the best to your son going off to college and your children advancing into the next level! Have a good week!
Although I do enjoy the Dewy Tatcha and have the LE size, I prefer the water cream ,) I prefer the Charolette Tilbury Magic cream over the Tatcha Dewy, a little bit goes a very long way !!
The elf is more coverage than the ct- i would say the closest dupe i have tried is the No7 primer- although its just for one of ct shades. Also, i am on my last child in the house and shes a senior 😩 and it helped me when my other kids moved out to focus on the remaining, but i will definitely be looking for advice next year! Thank you for the video! 👍🧡👍🧡
When my oldest started college we had one in elementary, one in junior high, one in high school and one in college too. We have the opposite in gender - 3 girls and one boy. I feel like we are good friends. lol We just brought our youngest to Clemson last week and it was sooooo hard! I’ll be thinking of you this next week.
I have skin that's on the dry side, but I find the dewy skin cream to just be too much for me. I much prefer the water cream. It's a little lighter weight and I love how it makes my skin feel.
I love the Tatcha Dewey Skin Cream but the Tatcha product that I wouldn’t ever want to be without is the Water Cream - it goes under EVERYTHING, including the Dewey cream . I’m old as dirt and people often complement me on my skin; I swear it’s the Water Cream!
I hear the word kindergarten and I tear up lol. I'm not ready for my little one to go. 😂😂😂😂 Every time she brings it up I have to hide my sadness and tell her she's the luckiest and will have so much fun...and I'm dying inside 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Both my son and daughter have already graduated from college and are working. One is a NICU nurse and one is a software engineer. We couldn’t be more proud. Was it hard on me when they left for their first year of college? You bet! It gets easier on us......Remember, they have wings and we have to let them fly!
I see Kopari products at my Marshall's and TJ Maxx stores all the time but I refuse to buy them due to their clean beauty label. I'm glad you got lucky with that gloss because I had a completely different experience with another clean brands product I bought from TJ Maxx. I bought a Lawless gloss. That thing not only smelled like paint. It went on like paint. A few of the creator's that do hauls from those stores kept saying how great their formula was, etc. And I'm sure it is if you buy new but again. Because these brands don't have preservatives in them they're gonna go bad quickly. Just keep that in mind before you buy. I wish all companies put expiration dates on their products but unfortunately they don't... 🤷♀️
Hi Mandy! I seriously love your hair texture and do have a similar one myself. Have you ever done a complete hair styling routine? I’m on the hunt for the perfect products even after 5 years of wearing my natural hair texture. Thank you in advance and have a great day! From Montreal Canada. 🤓
Mandy! Can you give me some tips for using the flower gel crush lip and cheek? It's so.... emolient i can't get it to show up as a blush without grossly over-applying. I bought the shade strawberry crush.
Best of luck to your son starting college. One piece of advice: don't let him come home for the weekends. It's important for them to stay on campus and socialize. Teach him how to do laundry and how to clean a bathroom before he leaves.
Thanks, i needed the advice. My son didn't come back home, last sem and was much more settled. This sem he has come home 2 weekends in row and is miserable
For someone that is starting out with cream bronzers, which would you recommend more the Nars or the Charlotte Tilbury? I want both, but need to just start with one lol.
College was rough - I live in jersey and took her to Idaho - - being so far away was hard - it was better the next year because her sister went with her so they had each other I knew she needed to grow and so did I 😂
I’m so intrigued by peoples families and age spacing between kiddos. Could you do a video about your family sometime?! I get if it’s too personal, but just figured I’d let ya know! Congrats to your son for starting his next great adventure
Too many new product reviews are meh. I’m trying to support some small channels but they are doing too many new products and I just can’t watch them. I enjoy watching the use of already owned products, getting ready with me, ranking, and anything Sydney Grace 😂😂😂 So I’m saying you do a great mix 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Totally enjoy your videos, confused today though. Putting the Tatcha Dewy cream over the top of sunscreen, seems a little silly as it will depleat the sunscreen resistance.
Good luck with college bound son. Bring tissue and make his bed as final goodbye. Typically don’t linger. Also, I recommend getting him to sign Health Care Directive, Power of Attorney for financial and medical, and FERPA (form to have access to financial related stuff as college age is now adult and even though you may be footing the bill, you will not have access to info or anything unless you get him to sign a bunch of stuff authorizing you). Just dropped off one and only child last weekend 😢
You’ll feel lost! All the running around you’ve done in the last year will make you feel you should be doing something. It will fill up quickly though. Good luck. It’s a challenge but you’ll be fine
Omg I’m shocked you have a kid in college? I knew you had Charlie and that made sense bc u look like your in your 30’s but if you have a kid in college you might be older and you look so young!
I don't watch your channel for all the "new". Please don't feel pressured to be on top of the trendiest makeup. You're bringing something unique to the beauty space!
Agreed!
You read my mind!

I use the Tacha cream in the winter at night. Very hydrating. Love it!

The Tatcha cream is heavenly and my dry & mature skin enjoys it very much! It’s a winter must for me
Love the Tatcha skincare products! The moisturizer is the best, especially for my dry skin. I use a few products and am really happy with them. Love the eye look with the Nabla pallette.

I use Tacha dewey skin cream every night for my moisturizer and my skin loves it.
I got the tarcha bday gift too..put in my travel bag ..love minis for that!

I just bought the Nabla eyeshadow palette, and I love it!
I love the Tatcha Dewey ski cream, but I am combo oily so I only use it at night in the winter.
I use Tatcha dewy every day. Love it!
I love the look you created. I love that Nabla palette.👍💯❣️❗
I just ordered the Nabla Nude pallet after your last video. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

I've been looking for cheaper replacement products for the last 2 months, lol. Who knows. Maybe I'll get lucky at TJ Maxx again?? If I do and they have more than one box I'll be picking up at least 2. Until then. I'm enjoying the experience... 😍
I feel your worry about the children 😕
I have 3 boys, 1 girl.
Amazing palette
I love the Tatcha sunscreen and the primer from them....
Would you say the Sydney Grace brushes have replaced your Rephr ones?
The elf is more coverage than the ct- i would say the closest dupe i have tried is the No7 primer- although its just for one of ct shades. Also, i am on my last child in the house and shes a senior 😩 and it helped me when my other kids moved out to focus on the remaining, but i will definitely be looking for advice next year! Thank you for the video! 👍🧡👍🧡
Ive been using dark spot microneedle dots...really help! Got them at ulta
Love the eye look!
Please do a curly hair tutorial omg your waves a hair looks gorgeous today!
Good luck!!Its going to be a big day !!
That's a lot of kids in a lot of schools ! Busy momma!
So pretty
Life has just gotten busier for me despite my children growing up and being adults :D
Hi Mandy!
I seriously love your hair texture and do have a similar one myself. Have you ever done a complete hair styling routine? I’m on the hunt for the perfect products even after 5 years of wearing my natural hair texture.
Thank you in advance and have a great day!
From Montreal Canada. 🤓
like the eye colors you used today = you really have a range of childrens ages ,better than mine 3 1yr apart
@@shalinibhagat1918 Good luck to him!
What is your skin care routine? You have beautiful skin. Love your videos
For someone that is starting out with cream bronzers, which would you recommend more the Nars or the Charlotte Tilbury? I want both, but need to just start with one lol.
College was rough - I live in jersey and took her to Idaho - - being so far away was hard - it was better the next year because her sister went with her so they had each other
I knew she needed to grow and so did I 😂
Never miss a video sweetie love ya
Does the concealer gather at smile lines on sides of eyes during day? I find it does even with setting..
❤️
My son went to college last year. The only thing I have to say is that time flies
I love ur videos and ur honesty about products. I only wish u would zoom in for your eye looks as I can’t see😩 that far away!!
You look stunning. When my son moved out he called me 5X by noon...lol! Yep, he was out on his own alright.
I’m so intrigued by peoples families and age spacing between kiddos. Could you do a video about your family sometime?! I get if it’s too personal, but just figured I’d let ya know! Congrats to your son for starting his next great adventure
your so funny in outro's..also such a naturally beautiful woman. Thanks for the laughs ☀️🌼😊
Where can I find the brushes you used for your blush and highlight?
Too many new product reviews are meh. I’m trying to support some small channels but they are doing too many new products and I just can’t watch them. I enjoy watching the use of already owned products, getting ready with me, ranking, and anything Sydney Grace 😂😂😂
So I’m saying you do a great mix 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I like Sydney Grace too, I wish more people would talk about them. Agree with your assessment on new product reviews too.
We will be dropping off my son for sophomore year at college next week. I got used to him being home again.
Totally enjoy your videos, confused today though. Putting the Tatcha Dewy cream over the top of sunscreen, seems a little silly as it will depleat the sunscreen resistance.
It depends on the sunscreen. Chemical sunscreens go under moisturizer, mineral should go on top.
@@dawndarner6876 thank you lve never heard of that.
Until I tried the cleanser, I was always like "pfft, I don't see why anyone would ever pay Tatcha prices". Joke's on me!
Please review Garden by Juvia!
You’ll feel lost! All the running around you’ve done in the last year will make you feel you should be doing something. It will fill up quickly though. Good luck. It’s a challenge but you’ll be fine
Happily, my skin does not love Tatcha skincare.
Omg I’m shocked you have a kid in college? I knew you had Charlie and that made sense bc u look like your in your 30’s but if you have a kid in college you might be older and you look so young!
