I mean from the beginning when he found out who she was, he was using her. I'm on episode 15 so far and I think he KINDA still is without realizing he's in love with her now so he's also helping who. I don't know it's a little weird. sometimes I can't follow Cdramas as well as I can Kdramas.
If this scene is after her breakup then he definitely isn't using her. He was trying to do something with Deshan company through her which belongs to her ex's family.
