Go to the Morris island sandbar on the early incoming. There were sharks in a foot of water and I caught a 36 inch bull red. But be sure to watch out for stingrays.

The dusky was a black nose shark, simple mistake. I was the king of that spot 5 yrs ago. lol Id kayak my bait to the second red bouy in the dark. Hightide turning is when you get the big ones on casters there. Tell him to cast a small chunk of ray on his biggest rod. I quit fishing there because the awful ledge there. Its cool at night to see the city all lit up.

He’s the freaking 🐐 and he’s a great time to fish with. When did you go with him?
@@1stDownFishing I didn't go with him but I always fish about 200 or so yards past the fort . he usually is at the point just down from me. I went over and talked to him ( while keeping an eye on my rods) short time later I nailed the big black tip off some cut herring. I was solo so ran down to help me land it. Then he took the photos for me . Shark was around 90-110 lb . Was my new best so I was happy he was there to help especially with his Hook tool 😂👌. Way better than my short ass pliers.
Maybe I'll see ya out sometime , gonna start putting my kayak on Wando River for some reds. but sharks got me a little addicted to the surf. originally from Northern Indiana/Line so Trout ,Salmon, and Flathead Cats . Still adjusting to Salt fishin

What is that pole you are using to remove the hook from the sharks?

It’s not like the gulf but the fishing here can be really good. I would recommend getting your son down here to fish.

It’s pretty good, I go down there every year and catch a bunch of 6-8 ft sharks, I’d recommend using stingray or cut shark as bait
@@aidanarnette6822 I was told that last week they were catching a lot of sharks over there. A few weeks ago I had heard that Folly was doing well.

@@843Landbased I’ve heard they are solid rods but I’ve never owned one. Get a dawia fuego for a reel. You will love what you get for the price. It depends on if you’re fishing inshore, surf, or whatever.
