I tried Pears soap to fix the eyebrows. I liked the result very much. I continued using it for a long time. I noticed small pimples appearing around the eyebrow that resemble the location and shape of your pimples. The day I stopped using the soap, the pimples went away. I hope you see my comment.❤❤
I have several of the Made By Mitchell Colour Cases, including the one you have in this video, and they’re my absolute favorite. Im 40 and have less than perfect skin and they melt in beautifully. I have a bunch of his products and they’re all great. I actually prefer the colour cases to my RCMA palettes, and they’re cheaper, longer wearing, and transfer proof once they dry down. I’ve never had a cream product dry down completely and look as seamless as his do without needing any touch ups, or even powder. He’s got some witchcraft going on or something. I know you love the about-face lilac blush balm, which is also one of my favorite blushes, but Mitchell has some gorgeous purple shades that rival about-face, as much as that pains me to say lol
@ his products are impressive. I’d get them from beauty bay if you’re in the states and want to try his stuff out. The shipping is much cheaper to the states than his site. He even says it right on the site. MBM is priced much more fairly than other higher end brands IMHO as well, and they perform better. Definitely worth a try. His brushes are really, really good too, and fairly priced.
I love to see beauty brands and especially indie brands starting to cater to the lighter olives. Salt New York and phytosurgence is another one you should check out. ALSO, the shade “desert” in my Danessa Myricks palette is my perfect olive contour 🤌🏻💋 I do prefer a more satin to matte contour though. A very glowy contour doesn’t quite make sense to me…
That cream palette is so very tempting. Cloud set in airy is the one of the only powders I will (infrequently) use on my uber-dry skin, and want to try the pink, because as I've aged, have become more sallow. Thanks, Alex.
“I think I’m entering my finishing powder era.” “…but don’t think I need finishing powder.” “…but idk how I’m gonna replace my Givenchy prism powder…” “…but if I do replace it, it’s the Tower 28 one.” 😂 Me living on a farm in the mountains with no access o need for any of these powders eating up every bite of this. You’re like the Bob Ross of LA. Thanks for doing art for and with us every week💄🎨
I’ve watched this video multiple times since it was posted and I’m still blown away by the end with how flawless your complexion is here! Thank you for this because I am also a very uneven-olive with dark circles and struggle to find or mix up the right concoction of colors to balance out my tones. And I’m also not very familiar with color correcting yet so I like watching you blend straight on the face! ❤
I wish I had that olive palette. I have to buy a neutral or warm-ish light concealer/foundation and mix it with an olive pigment to get that green tone going. Otherwise all complexion products look either too pink, too pale or too dark on me.
Can’t put into words how hyped I get when you put out a new video. 35mins??? We’re not worthy🙌🏼 Literally the only person on RUclips I still get excited about.
As someone with darker skin and an olive undertone. We’re there’s already a lack of inclusivity of dark shades, and on top of that dark shades that are warm, golden and cool. Not many olive undertones in deep-dark shade makeup. We need more olive, cool and warm!!!!
I know! Even the medium tan ranges are very golden and warm. Everytime I go on the olive subreddit, it's always catered to very fair olive people and I struggle to find swatches in the medium to deep range
Have you tried the Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer in the shade Brazilian Glow? It's intensely glowy (like could be a highlighter on deeper skin tones) but has an incredible undertone for olive skin
All the light olive people seemed so excited about this palette but then so disappointed after trying.... I'm going to have to sus it out more before actually purchasing it myself! Great concept though. But the execution? Time will tell ⏰
this video came out when i was feeling very sick and very bad, overall, and i honestly needed the good vibes. thank you for always having good vibes, alex! ❤
Also the Givenchy powder reformulation: based. No more talc. I wear it every day, setting the under eye is a DREAM. I was trained by the brand when my Sephora location finally got a gondola for it, and they said that the pearl comes through more when you buff it and concentrate it to one spot. Powder puff in areas where you need more staying power is great, but also, dusting it loosely and sparsely with a big powder brush will give you the most amazing soft blur to the entire complexion.
Omg i tried thr Revlon Colorstay in Buff per your recommendation for drugstore fair-light olive foundation. ITS AMAZING! I wanted to switch from my L'Oreal Pro-Glow because I found out Nestle owns a good chunk of the company. (Ew, we hate nestle). I wanted a lightweight and more liquidy foundation for around fhe edges of mg face, and skmethigb that either matches me the summer or adds a mild contour during my paler winter months. Ive used the E.L.F. Camo CC Cream in 100 Fair Warn as concealer (just havent found a good concealer that i like at drugstore that works for me, and this works good for me). Using E.L.F. primers and setting sprays. I went to Ren Faire in rhe summer heat, sweating while i was there and while i was doing my makeup, lasted 8+ hours
Woo also olive here! I still find K-beauty and J-beauty to have the best neutral-olive tones for contour, a really subtle but effective one would be like Missha's cotton contour (and their blush omllllllll don't get me started). I want to like made by mitchell but yeah the stickyness/wetness really turns me off most products.
I’ve seen three different videos of people comparing this foundation with huda beauty new foundation, by doing half and half a face and I do really prefer the look of the huda beauty. It just seems to sit better on the skin and more smoothing.
I can’t wait to see what shade they send you for the Patrick Ta foundation! I’m a fair olive as well and picked up a few samples; 5 with some green corrector worked on me. I have very dry skin so the formula really works on my skin. If there’s a better fair olive match I’d love to know! Def my fave foundation for my skin at the moment though
Hi Alexandra, thanks for the video! Wow, that Patrick Ta foundation is awfully moist. I wartched a review from another influencer who said she felt like it never set on her skin. I was surprised that your powder didn't clump up on it! I have very dry skin, and maybe that's the type the formula is intended for. But I can't bring myself to spend $58 (!!!) for a bottle of foundation, no matter how good it is.
The MakeUp by Mitchell shades are too green, in my humble opinion. It looks good under your chin but makes you look hagard on your cheeks 😢 PS edit - the Étude House contour palette suits you best. I just literally got it in the post. Looking forward to trying it. You made me buy it, sis!
Ok. So I HATE setting powder. I really hardly ever had to use it until I started using concealer (which I also hate using and only started using because I’m in my 40s now and I have fine lines). Because I had to use concealer under my eyes, I had to start using powder, otherwise I will end up with mascara under my eyes. I went through lots of different ones and hated all of them until I discovered BY TERRY Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder. It is matifying and hydrating. It’s fantastic!!!
I really tried to love this foundation, but i ended up returning it. Its just too greasy looking on me and i don't want to have to put so much powder on. Im 74 with very glassy moisturized skin. Im thinking of going matte again !
I have been struggling for YEARS to find an olive contour in cream/stick form. Fenty and ABH blend out straight reddish purple and end up looking like a bruise on my fair olive skin. I would love to try the makeup by mitchell contours, but I know it would be a waste of money for me because I wouldnt use the blushes. I hope he comes out with individual pans or mini palettes soon. In the meantime I think I'm going to grab the lightest sephora contour stick because it looks like a green based grey
Ahhh the journey of a fair olive toned person. I finally found the PERFECT foundation colour for me, I had a tester of Lisa Eldridge foundation in 2.5 Fair Olive but it’s been out of stock for months so I still haven’t been able to get it
I haven't seen that Patrick Ta foundation look good on anyone. After you powdered it looked OK, but mostly it looks greasy on everyone. I love watching your technique.
Quince. Best with cheese. ❤️ It’s amazing how many Americans here in the PNW don’t know about quince even though some grocery stores do sell it in their cheese section. I didn’t realize they grow in Mississippi too.
Request here! Rust look that includes green. Thinking copper/metallic and Kelly green. Experimenting with placement and curious if the two colors can be achieved in one look without chaos. I think I’ve found my reason to finally invest in your brush set. TY for all you do!
You would love the mmmitchell colour case in essentials, it’s the same formula as the correctors case but has loads of skin tone colours and a black and white shade. ❤
I wish the Mitchell contour pallet had olive tones in the medium pallet.. I can’t find a contour pallet for light-medium olive skin tone. Any suggestions?
watching all your videos in anticipation of my wedding trying and you literally sound just like Alia shawkat which is great, because her voice is very soothing
Gurl, you could smear dirt on your face and still blend it and finesse it to the point it would look natural. I agree; the contour looked great under your chin but looked kind of grey on your cheeks.
i feel like it's hard to accurately gauge the makeup by mitchell, since you were applying it on foundation that you said is a little too pink for your olive skin. like you said the cheek contour comes off as too green, but maybe if it were applied to foundation that's appropriately olive-toned it would look more harmonious
What skin type are you, please? Because I think the foundation and the Mitchell palette would work best for dry and dehydrated skin type😊. Thank you for your video.
Hii, can you please do a video about the colors that go well with light olive skin? Because whenever I search it's for darker complexions and the colors are not accurate at all
I wonder if you had a more matte base, you’d have a better payoff with the cream palette. It seems like the moisture in the foundation is just kinda slipping the pigment around and not gripping it necessarily.
Video Idea- You're always fantastic at finding the perfect niche product for any given purpose (like the olive contour here), but I'd be interested in your opinion on... *Multi-use products* Products that do it all. Like...a look with the least amount of products possible. Minimal? Is that the word maybe? Like...I don't have a lot of time or money, but I do want to invest in quality and technique. (I know you've mentioned many before, but a dedicated video would be awesome 😊)
Okay so the kosas cloud setting powder it made your face really Matt and then because of the undertone of the cloud setting powder it made your cheek to close perimeter mouth area dark like if it makes sense it took away the light
I mean this with genuine curiosity, but do you think the lights/camera are doing something to Dune Up? 100% of the fair olives I've seen like this when they put it on, but on the screen, it looks REALLY green/unnatural to me. The other shades seem much more in harmony with their complexion, but I haven't seen anyone use Dune Up where I thought it looked undetectable/like a color that meshed well with their skin. That's why I think it must just be reading differently on camera vs in person? 🤔
Man if this palette was available in my country I'd get it. Looks perfect for my green ass skin. Instead I now own a bunch of "pink" blushes which simply turn coral on me, not flattering.
The curve case you are using isn't 'Fair', it's 'Lighter Than Light'. Really strange that it's not specifically marketed towards olive skinned people when it is so obviously green toned. No one who is cool, neutral or warm toned could probably use any of the defining shades.
I think im olive toned, but i cannot tell. Everyone says the new elf foundation is VERY YELLOW... it is perfect for me... how can i tell if im olive or not??
Let’s remember that there is a difference between warm and cool toned olive skin 🫒
Yess!!! I’m cool/neutral olive and usually everything olive is still pretty warm on me…
I'm yellow olive but I'm cool and every olive toned foundation on me becomes pretty orange😅
Light warm olive here 🫒
I have just accepted that I am a dull Shrek
I’m a warm light medium olive and when I try neutrals I look dull so I have use warm olive or something with hold tone
Huh that’s interesting

The Danessa Myricks groundwork I meant..
I’ve been dying for Alex to review Phytosurgence!!
I was JUST thinking of how much I love my Salt Ny for my light neutral love face❤

For made by Mitchell pallets he suggests you use your finger to warm it up and make it creamy before applying it if you’re looking for more coverage.
I heard another creator say that the reformulated Givenchy powder was pulled. Thanks for the video!
Gosh, I hope so 🙏🏻🙋🏻♀️🇦🇺
I wish I had that olive palette. I have to buy a neutral or warm-ish light concealer/foundation and mix it with an olive pigment to get that green tone going. Otherwise all complexion products look either too pink, too pale or too dark on me.

About face has olive shades for every skintone even deep ones. And the formula is actually good. Check it out.
I am SO happy to see you do a Made by Mitchell review! Not to toot my own horn but I asked for you to do this so I’m feeling special ☺️😃
Dude I LOVE the finish at the end. It’s like a gorgeous satin look
I love a finishing powder. I don't wear foundation so the powder helps blur the pores and even skin tone. I mostly use translucent.
Have you tried the Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer in the shade Brazilian Glow? It's intensely glowy (like could be a highlighter on deeper skin tones) but has an incredible undertone for olive skin
Bought that on a whim because it was on sale - it's amazing, stuff probably my current favorite bronzer
That olive contour palette - wow! I need it.

I think this palette is genuinely for the very fair , I consider myself fair/light in winter and winter think it’s slightly too fair for me
I'm sorry happy I found your channel. I never hear people talking about light Olive skin ever. I have light to medium. My mom was medium to dark.

the curve cases set really well thoooo! I thought the same but then I set them and they look and wear so nicely
I think it’s not a good match with this foundation, it would probably work better for me with the new Huda foundation 👀
